It's my go-to restaurant for all special events. Last night was our 21st wedding anniversary. Normally, I'm very complimentary, but I have to admit that I wasn't so thrilled with our table's location (outside - requested) but it was the round table right by the front door without an umbrella to ward off the sun and the area got a lot of foot traffic, which was disruptive to our intimate dinner and conversation flow. I also felt that the service was a bit harried last night. While our server, Bonga, was very good, our food was dropped off by other servers or wait staff and was just sort of cast on the table in a hurried fashion. Time was not taken to clear our plates or make room for the new dishes like it normally is attentively handled at Ecco. In fact, I actually cleared/moved our appetizer plates and silverware to the side to make room for the dinner plates and silverware. The steak was also not up to the par of previous times we had ordered the specific dish. It was a bit more charred than usual, and not medium rare as we ordered it. For $50, I would have liked to have been served a better steak. Still, it was a pleasant evening overall. Thank you.

Very interesting menu selection and everything we tried was prepared with superbly. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive when needed and invisible when not - very much appreciated. While the dining aspect was excellent, the bar was crowded upon arrival and we were mostly ignored by the (2) bartenders which is a turn-off.
Excellent as always. Some of the new small dishes where just outstanding. I highly recommend the Watermelon Salad, Shrimp Crudo and the Boquerones.
Well of course the fried goat cheese balls are fantastic but the service Friday was top notch. Chef swap and risotto were tasty too.
The food is good, the service very friendly and knowledgeable The best part is the noise abatement. I'm so tired of shouting across the table in most of the restaurants in town. This restaurant was a relief .
