The counselors are attentive and accommodating, the field trips are great, and I like that the challenge the older kids to serve as leaders and organize activities for the younger kids.
Love that kids are very active physically and spend most of the time outdoors. Love that they do field trips weekly. My kids love their camp counselors too! Only downside I've noticed this year is LITs are allowed to have electronics and I wish they did not. My LIT does not have electronics for a reason, but she's getting a lot of exposure to other kids' electronics when I would much rather she be playing! I do like that LITs are given a little more freedom in other areas though.
Lori has created so many fun activities to keep the kids having fun, creating friends and making memories all while being safe. Thank you so much for all you do!
My kids enjoy the y camp. We have even extended our weeks at camp since they enjoy it so much. As long as middle school kids have limited phone time I am good which they have really focused on this year.
The staff is so up on every child , they are very aware of what is going around each child and make sure they are safe. The Y care is amazing and has been a great expirence for our two grandchildren. They have learned so much and and enjoy everyday they get to go to the Y. Thank you Lori Smith of Whitley County for make our YMCA amazing child watch for Whitley County children.
The kids do different activities every day and a bonus is my kids are wore out every day when I pick them up!! Resulting in sleeping every night and not getting up throughout the night!
The friends they make are also a bonus

I love everything about being part of the Y! It is such a wonderful community, and feeling connected to the people around you is important to my family. My kids are taken care of while getting a summer experience that will be part of the best times of their lives forever. They love the counselors and the admin staff as well. We all felt seen, heard and valued; they Y really takes care of our families mind, body, spiritual wellbeing and we couldn't be happier!
My son is so excited and happy everyday to go to camp. He went from a shy kid to open. The counselors are so nice and involved with him.
The kids are kept active and busy. They have so much fun with their friends each day. They love the field trips. Drop off and pick up times are convenient.
My kids love playing games, the cobra bucks, and the field trips!

I love the staff at the Whitley YMCA, they are very caring and personal. I really enjoy the management, the are very professional, involved and forward thinkers.
My son has attended since he was 5 and looks forward to it every year. Great staff and wonderful activities for the kids.
The director Mrs. Smith does a great job with her staff keeping the kids days filled with adventure, fun, and structure all summer long.

We love the variety of activities, field trips, etc. that our kids get with summer camp. As working parents, we know our kids are still having a great summer,making memories, and staying active despite us not having the ability to take the summer off with them.

The employees at the Whitley county Y are wonderful. Always willing to help and when they aren’t able they find someone who can. Always clean and in working order. I highly recommend!

This has been such a great program for our children to stay busy and learn about new things and have great adventures!!!
The program is great. The kids are kept busy and the supervisors are not constantly on their phone like many other programs that have teens and college kids helping. The leaders seem to care about the kids and everyone has fun.
The summer program provided stability for my children throughout the summer. The flexible schedule removed a lot of stress when work ran late or if I needed an extra day of care. The kids made friends and enjoyed getting to know their camp counselors. They look forward to returning to Y care during school breaks for the 2Phone number removed school year.
