The classes, the community, the facility.
I love the availability of many different kinds of experiences and encounters with all different kinds of people, young, old, and in-between. I love the improvements to the facilities: equipment, building, landscaping, maintenance, etc. I love the easy access because it is just 2 miles from home for me. I especially appreciate the enhanced security services because I might otherwise be anxious about coming to the Newton JCC. I only wish that the indoor pool was more available; I prefer to swim in the late afternoon and it's not an option because of the swim team schedule.

Everything has been positive. Convenient parking. Long hours. Friendly staff. Equipment I want is generally open. Attractive options for training and classes. It's great to have JCC so close (4 miles) that I am working up the courage to ride over on my bike.
Clients seem interesting and often friendly, so I see a potential to make friends also.
Great staff- always delightful and helpful with any issue or question. Outdoor pool is a treasure in the summer months, and it's great that there are always at least 3 lap swim lanes.
The only classes I have participated in are the yoga classes of Heidi and Lauren- they're both outstanding teachers.

Very family friendly - we are at the J with our kids 6-7 times a week!

The staff is professional and very friendly and welcoming. It’s a great building and very clean. The instructors are excellent. I’ve met a lot of really nice people and have found new friends.

Very clean, over 18 locker rooms, quality equipment
I attend the exercises group classes. Instructors are great. My experience has been very positive. I have been a member for over 30 years.
I am retired and love the variety of activities and the friendliness. I swim, take an exercise class, play pickleball and mah Jong, so I’m there 5 times a week. I also love seeing the variety of people - little kids, elderly, special needs. Oh, and the hot tub in the women’s changing room is one of the reasons I joined! I plan to try out the book club too. Thanks to everyone who makes the JCC run so well!

HOWEVER: parking is a nightmare most days. There are not enough programs, both physical and other types, geared toward older members.

The facilities are clean and up to date. The staff have always been pleasant.
The classes and the walking track
I always feel much better after taking Jill’s class. My legs get a great workout and she makes the class so much fun.

I feel strongly about supporting our Jewish Community Center. I mostly use mine for the exercise classes and gym, but love to see programming for young kids and expanding to teens. I miss the hot buttons cool conversations series that Fiona Epstein used to lead.
