Moms would love to have a clock that works.
Last year the clock was removed and this year apparently the battery is dead. Also need to check for bees and spray prior to the pool opening.

It is convenient for us to get to. The hours are good.
The pool is beautiful and the water slide is the best I've seen in Raleigh. My only suggestion is that they either add swim lanes or ask their lifeguards to ask people who are just standing in the lanes to move out so swimmers can swim laps. The two lanes aren't sufficient as is (i.e., as soon as one swimmer leaves a lane, another jumps in), but when one or both are occupied by someone who is not even swimming, it's maddening.

I like the convenience of the outdoor pool for residents of eastern Wake county. ( I live in western Nash County.) The staff and management are very attentive to those enjoying the pool. It is a healthy environment for families with teens and children.
All the kids who work at this site are beyond friendly.. my kids feel so comfortable talking to them and asking questions if they have any. Kori is great!!
The pool is fabulous, and the water slide is probably the best in Raleigh. As the pool is outdoors, you can also enjoy the sun if you're also a sunbather. They have dedicated lanes for laps that are usually available. In very busy times, I arrive at the start of adult swim (10 minutes before the hour for those 10 minutes) and am almost always able to grab a lane as the kids leave the pool. The staff are friendly and competent. Diving is not allowed, which I miss, but it's rare to find a pool that allows it. The price is right, particularly if you're an every-day swimmer, as I am. I highly recommend the Knightdale YMCA Pool.
Overall, great first day camp experience. This experience has prepared my child for kindergarten as he became more independent.
