The varied exercise schedules…yoga, line dancing, Pilates. Also I love that I can go to any YMCA. The walking track at Green is also an excellent plus when it’s too cold to walk in the winter!
The pool is just great--so clean and available to swim in most of the day.

I really liked the Lake YMCA. I feel like there is plenty of room for more workout equipment (similar to the David Y) as well as brighter lighting.

I have visited the other two Y’s in the area and they do not compare to Lake! The environment at Lake is friendly, inviting and welcoming! You are greeted upon check in by friendly faces who appear to be glad to see you. The instructors go out of their way to make sure you are getting the work out best for you and the other members treat you like old friends!
I believe all of this should be attributed to the Lake director.
The fact that the senior population is truly valued and the needs of this population are a priority also sets the Lake Y apart from other area Y’s.

My child loves going to swim classes and feels at ease. Friendly facility and ease of access to equipments.
Here’s a suggestion, I love the walking track as do many other seniors. My suggestion is that on days when there are basketball or other events in the gym that bring in many family members, a person is to monitor the track to keep small children from fooling around unattended on the track , and to stop people from watching the games from the track.
