Member Testimonials
I enjoy the group exercise options, the instructors are helpful and create good energy for the class. The staff is always pleasant and friendly! They’ve made an upgrade in equipment and provide guidance in its function. I didn’t know anyone in this community when we moved here and the YMCA has helped me find friendships and the feeling of home.
The staff is wonderful, especially with kids. We love the aquatics programs.
So thankful to have the y in our community
The hours, the people, the child watch. Would be nice for a couple more classes on Saturday between 9-12 and more yoga through out week.
Exercise classes and sport options
Staff are pleasant and professional. Process for registering to become a new member was easy. This site has a number of amenities and I like to see people of all ages being active.
What I like.
Nice facility with abundance of natural light and also plenty of free weights and machines. Also, like the sauna.
Improvements
1. Better WiFi coverage throughout facility.
2. Reliability of electrical as I’ve been on treadmill when it shuts down.
3. Locker rooms could use an update. Locker rooms at Myers Lake Y are larger, newer.
The gym is good, no complaints. The kids department and activities are amazing—Ms. Amy does a phenomenal job.
Things we are able to participate in have been great. Just wish there was more availability for classes on weekends with child watch, being a single parent it has been a struggle to use the health part of the membership for myself
We love it there! Everyone is so friendly!!
Clean and friendly
Very friendly staff
I love the variety of classes that are offered and the casting and supportive staff.
It has everything I need and the staff is great and the programs are too.
Here are 2 suggestions and a wish list item.
1. Move the functional gym room to where the dance aerobics are. From what I have seen, that room is always locked during the times I am there. When it is open the room and classes are always low. Even the cycle classes. In contrast there are times when the functional gym is slammed and people are waiting. Plus all the equipment is just jammed in there.
More and more people are getting into functional fitness. Plus some people like going back there because it is less busy and more private. Plus there will be more room to keep investing into functional fitness equipment.
2. My next suggestion is to currently move the lifting platform in the main gym to the functional gym. Lifting wise it makes sense to be in there. Plus it will be used more efficiently because people will be looking for it.
Plus it will free up space to help prevent the bottle neck effect you get with people using the squat racks, lifting platform and the smith machine all at once. It will also keep people from misuse. 85% of the time I merely see people take the green 25 plates and for some reason use the green plate for squatting over on the squat rack. This causes me to have to wait and really messes up the flow. For the people that do use it, they only deadlift on it. Which again, slows down people like me when i use it for wonderful Olympic lift training.
Don't get me wrong, it is used for dead lifting. However most people just ego lift over there and don't do actual sets. Prior to that great platform people would just deadlift over at the squat rack.
Finally there should also be a sign that reads, please keep the ohio bar on the platform. That bar is amazing. It should stay where it was made too!
3. Wishlist. I love love love love the new concept2 row and ski ergs! So awesome. I no longer need to join a crossfit gym. When the next cash flow comes you should look into completing the set and get the concept 2 bike erg. A totally different workout compared to the new pelatons. Which are great too.
You guys should also look into hosting Spartan Deka Fit contests here. I drove to Pittsburgh twice last year to attend these. You have the space and the equipment and it will bring more eyes on the Y. The 2 I did last year where both at ymcas as well.
Thanks happy 24. Pardon any errors. I used voice to text.
The equipment is always very nice and in good shape. The staff are so friendly and welcoming!
It's close to home, there are a lot of equipment options and the schedule of classes options is pretty good too.
looks of opportunities and all of the people are friendly and helpful
The variety and quality of exercise equipment. The pool and the number of diverse exercise classes.
I also have to give kudos to the staff. They are so friendly and helpful!
Friendly staff!
The staff is always so friendly. It makes going to the Y a very pleasant experience. The faculty suits my needs very well. There enough equipment that I don’t have to wait to use. I like the walk I gbtrack around the workout room. I really find it useful after using the treadmill or stationary bike. Keep up the good work, you are appreciated!
My daughter has been taking swim classes for a few years now and has progressed wonderfully and she has loved all the teachers that she's had there!
Very kind and patient with children. They considered our family's needs and made the process easy. Thank you
Lots of options for all age levels and finding like minded people who want to better there health and achieve there personal goals.
My son is learning and progressing in his preschool swim class.
Our kids have been going here for over a year and a half. Great instructor to student ratios. Instructors genuinely care and actively provide
meaningful instruction/feedback. The aquatics director is very involved and ensuring safety and quality instruction is being provided.
The price was amazing for the amount of classes and my almost 2 year old learned so much and gained some valuable skills! We will definitely be doing another class!
Good camaradre.
Nice morning staff.
Clean facility .
Rules are applied judicially.
Great yoga class instructed by “Brenda’s substitute”. I forgot her name.
Clean, friendly, great location, kind group of attendees
Plenty of parking. Plenty of space.
I would recommend more signage and arrows to direct people to the various fitness rooms, gyms and other areas.
Great space.

One of, if not, the best kept facilities in the area. The best hot tub. It's always clean and up to temp. Great pool. Nice sauna. Nice workout area. Friendly staff. The extended Sunday hours are much appreciated.
It's nice to have the extra rinse showers fixed in the men's locker room. It's great for cooling off from the sauna when the showers are full. The men's show ceiling vents look like they need cleaned. Longer Saturday hours would be nice if traffic would support it. I often want to go after 5p, and there isn't an option.
Thanks for the great work!
