Clean and there are many activities to choose from.
The classes for seniors.
VARIETY OF CLASSES, FRIENDLY STAFF
I think it is very welcoming. Anita, the Pilates instructor, is an excellent, dedicated trainer. She has studied her craft. I like that the members are from the local community and that it reflects our Bremerton diversity.
Bremerton YMCA cares about its senior members and all members. Renton YMCA quickly finds a way to fix anything that breaks down even the small things like swimsuit dryers in locker rooms. Bremerton YMCA has hot showers that don't turn cold and a consistent steam room and sauna.
A kind welcoming staff and his constantly improving its workout machines and areas.
That big, deep pool that I get to teach kids to swim in. And the aquatics department rocks!
Staff are friendly. A variety of water exercise classes are available. I have enjoyed them for 36 years. The competition for the exercise machines isn't as much as the Silverdale Y.
The atmosphere is warm and supportive with excellent classes.
I love that there is child watch. All the classes and the staff. I wish the pool facilities could be renovated.
Very friendly staff and great classes
It is hassle free when check in and I can go to the water class and the pool and life guards have been very friendly and helpful with my family.
I love the Bremerton "Y", the people are friendly and professional.
Less crowded, well run, clean, friendly. Conveniently located to me.
I like the variety. I have taken classes, used the weights, rowing machine and walking track. I like that I can use an empty room to jump rope.
I have started playing basketball. This is what I enjoy the most. I am an (almost) 60 year old woman who hasn't played in decades. My office is close by, so I treat myself to a basketball lunch every Friday.
The staff and clients are super friendly and helpful.
All in all a very positive enjoyable experience.
Great class leaders and friendly members
I've gone to the Bremerton Y for 36 years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and there are many exercise options to choose from. I have mostly done the water aerobics and rely on that to remain active and limber with my arthritis and artificial joints.
Please reinstate the 8:30 am Dance Water Aerobics. It's a fun class. I hope Bea is hired to teach this class since the previous instructor is no longer there during the week.
My husband used the weight room and aerobic area and prefers the Bremerton Y as there is not as much competition for the machines like there is at the Silverdale Y.
Thank you for providing a wonderful exercise atmosphere and so many options.
Sense of community
I like EVERYTHING about the Bremerton YMCA!
I like the location because it is close to my house. I like the variety of classes and all of the instructors. I like that everyone is included and encouraged to participate at his/her own level. The maintenance crew does a good job, front desk people are friendly and make an effort to greet you by name. The Y helps me to stay socially and physically active. I am grateful for the Bremerton Y.
Homey, quiet, professional, friendly.
Welcome feeling every time I walk through the door. I'm always greeted and made yo feel at home.
I enjoy my classes in the early morning: boot camp and indoor cycling.
The hot tub is amazing as well as the dry and wet saunas.
The silver fit classes. Wish you took silver sneakers so my Medicare advantage insurance would cover.
I live nearby, there are zumba classes, newer equipment in the weight rooms, the pool was redone a year ago, and the staff is friendly.
What I don't like is the carpet going up to the second floor is old, dirty, nasty, full of germs and needs to be replaced.
The options available for participation. The friendly staff, the convenience of the location, the feeling of belonging that I have with other people there.

The Bremerton facility has improved quite a bit since the last time I was there (over 5 yrs ago). They have the same footprint but have utilized space differently to offer more without making things feel packed in and tight.
I really enjoy the classes I drop in to and look forward to continuing my healthy journey.
Enjoyed very much Sage's Yoga Class today (1-4-26). He is very good at teaching it and bringing it to light the meaning of yoga poses. Sage is a very good teacher. He conducts a very enjoyable and educational class. What a joy to have him as a yoga teacher!
I love my teachers Anita and Melissa! Their classes are thoughtful, fun and full of variety, and I don’t get bored at all! I look forward to being there and exercising.
I also love our sauna—I hope we’ll always have a cedar sauna. It’s so relaxing, and nice that the lifeguards come and check on us.
The front desk crew is friendly and greet us as we enter.
One thing that would be a wish is more room to stretch in the treadmill area. We need more than room for two, and we need some space for weights, balls and foam rollers. Maybe where that computer desk is? Or another mat next to the current two.
The stretching around the track is not ideal. The one by the stairs is disruptive when someone is using the air blowing stationary bike, and it feels risky to be lying down when people are running on the track.
I love how open and accepting everyone is!
I like the open hours; I can come and go as I please. The lifeguard, Breanna, and the exercise instructor, Sam, are both good.

The Bremerton YMCA is the BEST branch in the Kitsap and Pierce County! It is not too busy, friendly, with music that isn't too loud. The energy inside the branch is welcoming and laid back, allowing everyone to feel that they can workout at their pace without pressure. You guys rock!
