Great classes, great instructors, very welcoming at reception. All good.
I love May chair yoga classes. The instructors, Greg, Di, and Merissa are great and very caring.
The Pearl Street Family YMCA has an excellent, professional, courteous and helpful staff. Though older, the building is nice and clean. Good equipment is offered. Water access is abundant. Decor is maintained and I feel wanted and safe there. Good parking with several convenient accesses. I would like to give extra kudos to both Hannah and Amy who have been very helpful and supportive. I have been a member for over 30 years and have always been pleased with the staff, classes and the facility in general.
Staff is great - even at 5:30 in the morning. Facility is showing it's age, But it works.
The variety of activities and the facilities. The atmosphere of friendship.
We moved here in 2019 from a rural town in California, newly retired and had never belonged to a gym. We joined the Y at Pearl Street in January 2020. The minute you step into the Y's doors you are warmly welcomed. The staff there is always helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere is cheerful and personal. It feels like family. We love our classes and have met many friends through the Y. We couldn't recommend it more!
Personable insructots
I'm a senior with some mobility issues and am widowed and live alone. I have been a member of the YMCA for probably four years and have found it to be a very healthy, inclusive experience. I primarily go to the aqua classes, and I appreciate that you are not locked in to any specific class as there are quite a few scheduled conveniently through the week. I have met a variety of people who have been supportive and enjoy visiting, laughter and fun. The staff are knowledgeable and supportive. I really wish I had known more about their mission years ago as it is definitely a service for the whole community.
