Tbh I don’t go to that location. I use the Lakewood one. But I do advocate the Y to anyone wanting to go workout in any form or fashion.
Facility is clean, love the new equipment. Wish there were paper towels in the restrooms on the 2nd and third floor. I hate the dryers because they are too loud and hurt my ears. Also, I miss the life fitness multi function structure that used to be in the middle of the first floor. In addition to it being very functional, It had a nice shelf to put water bottles, towels on and the like and now there’s no place to put my water bottle/towel besides the floor, ick. Please get some kind of small table or shelf for the first floor so stuff doesn’t have to go on floor.
I very much appreciate how hard the staff at the University YMCA Student Center works to keep the gym organized and clean. The women’s locker room is always clean, and front desk staff periodically move throughout the gym to put away equipment that some members don’t put away after using. Today, one of the ladies was deep cleaning the floor in front of the dumbbells and around the benches. She is always working so diligently every time we come in to the Y in the mornings.
I also appreciate that the staff takes initiative and enforces the gym rules. We noticed the new sign posted in the front that says that video is not allowed. Instead of ignoring what was happening, one of the staff members last week went and talked to a guy who was making training videos. He respectfully stopped.

Great equipment, staff, clean, and roomy. However, could use more handles for all of the pulley weight machines.
The extra squat racks are appreciated. If possible could also use another hamstring and quad extension machine as there are only one of each as well.

The space is awesome. The staff and variety of equipment is great. Overall it has a nice atmosphere but I just wish there was a POOL.
The student center Y is spacious is , has great equipment and really friendly staff.
My only complaint is that there seems to be just one set of 20 pound weights in the gym. We could use another couple sets.
The staff is very friendly and actually helps you out with your questions and has answers.
