I moved to the area for work from Texas 4 years ago, and I was looking for opportunities to play tennis (since I've been playing on/off for 20 years). I've been playing at the Tennis Center for over 2 years, and I've had a great experience.

Since bringing on Avery Schams as an instructor, I've seen a lot more development of the adult programming, especially in the evenings (I work full time during the day time and having instruction in the evening has been great). This includes having an advanced instruction class from 7-8:30 on Wednesdays, Tennis on Tap during Thursday afternoons which allows me to refine some of the weaker areas of my game, and then having match play on Sunday evenings has allowed me to enjoy playing some competitive tennis. Avery Schams and Danylo Ripeckyj are a dynamic duo with these adult evening play opportunities. I've definitely seen improvements in my play, and being a member of the Tennis Center has helped me find my community. Coming to play at the Tennis Center is what I look forward to every week!

The people

All of the staff at the Tennis Center were incredibly friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and happy to help in any way. The coaches there are absolutely wonderful- and my son can't wait to continue learning new techniques while smiling and laughing due to the fun and engaging methods the coaches use to encourage kids to learn and love this sport!

The summer JTT program is a great way to introduce kids to tennis. Tennis is a life long activity that doesn’t require much equipment and can be enjoyed without the need for a large number of participants.
The staff do an excellent job of working with kids of all ages and at their individual skill levels. They teach hard work, commitment to self and team, as well as how to have fun at the same time.

I've been consistently playing tennis at the Tennis Center for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it. I have met many good friends playing here, and it's what I look forward to doing every week. I was so happy when the the advanced drill class was introduced because I finally felt challenged in my skill level. I have also really enjoyed the match play Sunday evenings and the Thursday Tennis on Tap that allows me to refine the weaker spots of my game.

Avery Schams is a fantastic instructor. He's one of the many reasons I look forward to playing every week. He gets creative with the games and makes adjustments based on the feedback from the class. Avery has helped me improve my game by offering input into becoming more confident at volleys. Bringing Danylo Ripeckyj on to join Avery in instructing the advanced drills and Sunday match play has been wonderful. Those two mesh well together and match each other's tennis banter.

I love playing at the Tennis Center, especially with Avery and Danylo as the instructors!

Love that cardio tennis is free this month. I've got the unlimited membership but the free classes also make it so I can meet people to schedule hitting time with!

Ali is great!

It’s a pleasure entering the building and being greeted by Ali at the front desk. Always pleasant and ways accommodating. You are lucky to have her.

Don’t make much use of your programs. Use the ball machine 1hr/wk. Think the Sat drop in play program is useful for people moving into the area. Helps them meet similar level players. Most people would benefit by taking one week of semiprivate lessons per year.

I have enjoyed the tennis center both the old one and the new one for decades. The Menard tennis center is beautiful, conveniently located and easy to access court time. Several friends and myself take Meg Minton's drill weekly. She is an outstanding instructor!

Ever since there’s been an advanced drill class on Wednesdays, I have loved tennis again. I’m so glad a group of like-skilled players have joined the class and able to motivate me on improving my own skills. Avery Schams is a fantastic instructor and is allowing us to focus on areas where we can refine these skills. However, I would like to learn how to return overheads. These shots are scary to hit back, and I’d like to learn how to attempt to return that shot.

Friendly staff

Your junior's programs are incredible. Would love to see some programming for USTA adult play. Possible once a week drills or practices for 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 women. We have this awesome facilty but no real manager for making the jump to adult programs or organized play.

I love tennis. The atmosphere of the tennis center is great along with the availability of courts.

Great tennis instructors. Allie, the front desk person, is great: courteous and helpful.
