;I am ,mostly at hte EC Y, but when In Chippewa I use that Y. Ir's a beautiful building and well set up! Really, really, nice atmosphere!
Lots of activities for all age groups. Y staff is very helpful and friendly. Y management seeks to understand the needs of the community, senior population and family values.
Management works to incorporate all of those needs into programs that support their values.
All of the instructors I have had have been top notch! They offer modifications if you need them, are knowledgeable and are enthusiastic about what they are instructing from aqua classes, yoga, strength, spin, etc! I have been dealing with knee issues and through Shauna's weeknight and Sat aqua classes have been able to strengthen my knee, so far avoid surgery and attend other classes I didn't think I would be able to do! My PT recommended taking with the water classes and have been going ever since!
Variety of activities!
Nice track to walk on!
I mostly use the gym, but I enjoy the swim exercise classes.
Never too crowded.
The YMCA has many classes to choose from and for different levels. All trainers are very good and they give suggestions on how to do something in a variety of ways.
Always feel welcome…diversity…..

Clean facility
I like that we can easily sign up for swim classes online, and or call the front desk.
Great classes and instructors.
The programs and classes D22
Improved weight room/golf simulator
I like the Chippewa YMCA as a gym/pool. It is easy to navigate and well equipped for (i think) everyone. I believe it has a diverse set of class offerings, and the newsletters and communications have improved. It doesn't have the steam room or sauna that the Eau Claire YMCA has, but as a place to workout, I like it better. It is definitely cleaner. (except for the dust under the leg press in the weight room)
Notes for consideration -
I understand the difficulties with turnover, but a well informed staff would be...better. Often my experience is they're only there to say hello (great) but i don't believe they know offerings or special events coming up and the such.
A coat of paint in the racquetball court would be great, as would a new sweeper cloth for the BIG floor broom.
The availability of a place to exercise and the nautilus equipment. I enjoy walking outside but during the winter, rainy days or humid weather, it’s great to have to treadmills and track.
Exceptional instructors! I love classes—-pool, yoga, chair yoga, sit and fit, basic fitness and strength. I also appreciate the Y’s commitment to ALL people, creating a welcoming environment.
I enjoy going to the "Y" every day and walking on the track -- it makes me feel better! I am going on 93 years old and hope to be able to keep on for quite awhile yet!
sirry dont participate in surveys
As a 66 yr old retired farmer I use the stationary bike daily , it keeps my legs moving, along with my hips....
The YMCA does a great job to support the community with educational events. The variety of fitness classes and time offering is super for any schedule.
Clean Y especially the pool
Great equipment for strength building and cardio
Keep up the good work
Aqua aerobics
Something for all ages and abilities in a clean friendly facility!
Pool, outdoor yoga

My kids love swimming in the Baby Barracuda and Jr Swim Team at the Y. The staff are welcoming, the program is fun but challenging and really do create solid little swimmers. I love that they also provide equipment such as fins and pull buoys - makes it much easier for those just getting into the sport.
