I really appreciate the caring and professional staff at the ECLC, you guys create a nurturing and safe environment for my children. The learning activities are enriching, promoting both intellectual and social development. My toddler comes home singing & dancing every night.
I also value the communication during pick up & drop off, keeping me well-informed about my children’s progress. The facilities are clean, organized, and child-friendly. I do wish I could see more photos through out the week on Tadpoles. Overall, ECLC meets my needs in terms of flexibility, location, and convenience, and I’m happy with the care and attention my children receives. The Ymca - ECLC is apart of my families village.
I can't say enough wonderful things about the South Mountain YMCA! From the moment we arrived 20 years ago with our 3 children to today where we take our grandson everyday. It has always been clear that our child’s well-being was their top priority. Jenn Macafee creates a nurturing and loving environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Many of the faces have stayed the same over the decades; Danielle, Karen, Channelle and others who go above and beyond to not only care for our grandchild but to support our whole family.
The attention to detail is incredible, Jenn Macafee truly tailors their care to each child’s unique needs and personality. Our grandchild looks forward to every day, and we can see the positive impact on his development—both socially and emotionally. From creative activities to educational support, the learning opportunities seem endless.
Beyond the physical care, the emotional support is remarkable. Jenn Macafee always offers a listening ear, provides helpful advice, and communicates openly, which makes us feel fully informed and at ease. Danielle greets us all in a consistent and professional way everyday. The warmth and kindness they extend to our family has made a huge difference during a difficult time.
It is also worth noting that we met 100% of our adult friends - we call "the village" - at the South Mountain YMCA, we connected with a community that has become our entire friend set - our "village" - We've met friends at the South Mountain YMCA who will be in our lives forever.
We are incredibly grateful for the peace of mind we have knowing that our grandchild is in such capable, caring hands. It’s rare to find a team who is so devoted to their work, and we are so lucky to have found such an exceptional child care provider. Highly recommend to any family seeking community and loving caregivers!

I love the communication and the patience of the staff. Everyone knows my son and says hello to him.
The teachers are exceptional, providing the perfect balance of love, learning, and structure to the children's days. Could not imagine a better place for my children to receive the building blocks of their early education.
The ECLC is fantastic at responding to big issues (bed bugs, class illness), hiring great teachers, and providing a range of experiences for the kids. I often wish the ECLC would communicate more, and earlier, about things that are coming up so parents can plan. I would also love to see more Kindergarten preparation for the older kids (especially for kids that are in mixed classes with kids ages 3-5).
The coverage can't be beat and our daughter loves the community she's a part of.

How much everyone cares about the children
The teachers/caregivers are so loving and caring- I have a real sense that they love my baby and care for her so personally. The facility is beautiful, clean, bright and friendly.
I do wish that there was more communication on the app, like receiving some pictures of our baby's activity, the ability to message about anything important or timely, and some sense of the daily routines/schedules/activities.
We love the teachers and staff! Everyone is kind and the teachers really care about each child and their development.

The YMCA ECLC feels like family. Every single caregiver knows our daughters’ names and they are greeted with a smile, warmth and kindness each day. It is a remarkable place.
The entire staff is wonderful. They take such great care of our son, and give him and the other kids great attention. Its a very warm place for children to grow up
I’m so amazed with The care and support of my son, not only from his core classroom teachers but from all of the teachers and staff. I love how everyone interacts with my son and makes him feel welcome. I love The full day activities, he’s a very active toddler who is able to exude his energy everyday at school.
