It was an amazing experience for our students - the YMCA Staff at Fairview Lake were exceptional, patient, and engaging with the students which enhanced their experience. They especially loved being able to have other experiences if there was time left - such as visiting the animal farm on campus was a nice treat to the end of the day.

Our school’s 8-10 graders have had a wonderful time the past two years at Fairview Lake’s Environmental Education experience.
Cranbury school has been coming to the Fairview Lake YMCA camp for over 20 years and it is the absolute highlight of our 6th grade science program. From the time we get to camp until we leave, there is constant learning, comraderie and just plain old-fashioned fun! We weave components of the environmental experiences into our program at school by completing activites before arriving and then require the students to complete a journal that gives them an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned academically as well as what they have experienced on an interpersonal level while at camp. The programs are a perfect mix of environmental standards and peer building experiences. The staff is informed and works beautifully with the students, the food and accomodations are excellent and the camp is an amazing example of the benefit of protecting our natural resources. In partnership wth the Fairview YMCA, we are commited to developing our students into environmental stewards for the future.
The kids have the best time and learn so much! The counselors are knowledgeable and the activities are structured but fun!
FVL staff are flexible, caring and invested in what they are doing. I love returning year after year to this camp - because I know it will always be a productive and informative time for my students. I love the Fairview Lake YMCA Camp! The leadership and staff team are an amazing group of supportive and energetic people who always, always make sure that we are able to have a truly wonderful experience at Camp, whatever our goals are. They go out of their way to help out when we have forgotten a piece of the paperwork process. They go out of their way to accommodate last minute schedule/activity changes. They make us feel welcome and included and affirmed in all our diversity, and they always show up to lead activities with such a generous spirit. As a program director and staff supervisor, as a youth development specialist and group facilitator I find that the activities at Fairview are always what we need - boating experiences, hiking, nature walks, cooperative games, campfire songs, adventure challenges - and the team at Fairview knows how to make everything go smoothly, and they make things fun, and join in the sense of wonder that Camp inspires. I've been bringing groups of youth, peer educators, staff teams, and my family to Fairview Lake Camp for almost 30 years, and I've never, ever been disappointed. This year we made the leap and brought the entire staff of our whole agency to Fairview Lake for a day long retreat, not just the youth service team. We brought the finance team and the admin team and the grant writers and our CEO. It was a perfect day, including the goats and the meals in the Dining Hall. Thank you!

The staff is professional and accommodates all our needs especially if it's a last-minute change. The staff are educated about each session that they teach. They are patient with middle school students. Cabins and facilities are always clean. Our contract is renewed yearly on a timely basis. The Dining area is knowledgeable to children with special dietary needs.

Friendly and responsive staff. Kids LOVE the food. All the activities are well organized. The camp is clean and well maintained.
Our students were completely engaged and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this field trip! The hands-on activities were dynamic, interesting and highly motivating to the kids. On top of that, we (the teachers) were so impressed with the organization of the day and the interaction of your leaders with our students.

Beautiful facility, very accomodating staff, just an amazing experience. I have been taking my 6th grade students to Fairview for a one-night stay for 20 years. We do all the activities, have added a campfire and have always had Giselle from the Avian Wildlife Preserve do a presentation with her beautiful live bird of prey specimens. Our school enjoys all the opportunities that Fairview Lake has to offer. Schedules are taylor made to the needs of the group and the camp is very flexible in making changes and accommodating all our needs. The instructors are engaging and work very nicely with our middle school students.
The food service is wonderful and everyone has plenty of choices to make for something to eat. The facilities are pristine and welcoming. Our school loves coming to Fairview each September to kick off our school year! Thank you Fairview Lake for another incredible visit!
