It was an amazing experience for our students - the YMCA Staff at Fairview Lake were exceptional, patient, and engaging with the students which enhanced their experience. They especially loved being able to have other experiences if there was time left - such as visiting the animal farm on campus was a nice treat to the end of the day.

The counselors and staff are welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. The programs and activities are well rounded, providing a variety to ensure all children are included and engaged. The kids love the food served in the cafeteria!

The staff is amazing! Very accommodating and flexible to work with your group's needs. Our students love the food at camp (which isn't usually the case at other camp facilities.). The activities are a good mix of personally challenging and group bonding/critical thinking activities while focusing on nature and outdoor/environmental education. Plus the location is awesome!
Our school’s 8-10 graders have had a wonderful time the past two years at Fairview Lake’s Environmental Education experience.
Cranbury school has been coming to the Fairview Lake YMCA camp for over 20 years and it is the absolute highlight of our 6th grade science program. From the time we get to camp until we leave, there is constant learning, comraderie and just plain old-fashioned fun! We weave components of the environmental experiences into our program at school by completing activites before arriving and then require the students to complete a journal that gives them an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned academically as well as what they have experienced on an interpersonal level while at camp. The programs are a perfect mix of environmental standards and peer building experiences. The staff is informed and works beautifully with the students, the food and accomodations are excellent and the camp is an amazing example of the benefit of protecting our natural resources. In partnership wth the Fairview YMCA, we are commited to developing our students into environmental stewards for the future.

My child just completed her first week at Farm Camp. This was the first time that she was away from home and I feel very grateful to the staff and folks at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps for creating an environment that felt nourishing and nurturing for her, such that she seldom thought about missing home. She was thrilled with the Farm program and the opportunity to develop deeper relationships with the animals, due to the size of the program and proximity allowed to the animals. She also enjoyed having opportunities to explore other facilities/centers at the camp, which ensured she had a well-rounded summer camp experience. She felt at ease with the counselors and made meaningful connections with friends, so I am certain we will be returning for more songs, adventures and relationships next year.
My daughter had a fantastic time this year at Camp Tupelo, bonding with her cabin mates, trying out a variety of activities, and expressing her creativity and personality. I appreciate the camp leadership and staff working with us after a disappointing experience the prior summer, to make sure this time around she was in a program and cabin where she had a solid feeling of belonging among peers.

The camp is beautiful, well organized, great counselors, well maintained, great communication, clean cabins, a beautiful lake and lots and lots of activities that our son loves.

My son absolutely loved his time at camp. He always felt safe, cared for, and came home each day so happy. One of his favorite parts was getting to fish daily—it was such a highlight for him. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we’re so grateful for.

The experiences. The fact that my child spends all days outdoors pending few exceptions (downpours and thunder). It's not a place to send my kid to be watched but instead a place to send my kid to experience real camp experience minus the sleepaway part. Only reason I can't rate it all the way, is the cost is a bit on the high side especially when including the busing. And if you are applying this cost across multiple children, it can become very pricey for a family. Otherwise we have loved everything so far about the camp and appreciate all that the counselors and staff do.
I liked the freedom of being mostly in-charge of myself and being able to do activities I can't do at home with my friends.

Our school enjoys all the opportunities that Fairview Lake has to offer. Schedules are taylor made to the needs of the group and the camp is very flexible in making changes and accommodating all our needs. The instructors are engaging and work very nicely with our middle school students.
The food service is wonderful and everyone has plenty of choices to make for something to eat. The facilities are pristine and welcoming. Our school loves coming to Fairview each September to kick off our school year! Thank you Fairview Lake for another incredible visit!
