The Desert Foothills Y is one of the highlights of our area! They are kid-focused, family-focused and all around an asset to our community. I love the classes, the childcare, parents night out, etc.

The staff. The front desk staff, Shannon & Deb and the other Instructors. The staff, not the building or the equipment, make up the lion’s share of one’s experience in any organization and our YMCA is no different . Participating in the programs, (and there are so many for each of the various member groups) is an energizing and positive experience. I recently had knee surgery and have been unable to attend for several months. I miss the YMCA so much: the exercises, the camaraderie with my class mates, the social stimulation as well as the physical. The YMCA offers us so much and I miss it physically and mentally when I am relegated to miss. Thank you for asking!
I like the employees at the front desk, I love the classes- though I wish I could participate in more of them--MixxedFit with Julia is awesome, I like the busy-ness; lot of people of all age groups participating in keeping active; can't wait for Ninja course to open.

Going to the Y is part of my daily ritual. I love the challenge of the classes… This instructors are superb. The equipment is five stars and the aqua classes are so much fun. I there is always positive energy. I’ve made a lot of friends, it’s part of my lifestyle. Health is Wealth!

The facility has great equipment and the most friendly staff, making it a fun place to go.
The Y is an inclusive, positive, friendly community in which to grow and thrive in mind, body and spirit. I’ve been active in Y’s for most of my life, and the DFFY is by far the best!
Very clean and friendly gym. I do wish they would send emails when policies change or the large gym is going to be closed. For example when morning pickleball changed to "sign-up only", an email might have been nice instead of players telling one another in the parking lot!
I will be glad when the construction will finally be completed.
The community atmosphere. The multiple program opportunities from group fitness to indoor wellness floor to outdoor swim opportunities.
The friendliness of the staff is one of the best factors. You have some young people, like Emily at the front desk, just as nice and helpful as can be. The administrators, such as Rae, Chris and Deb are top notch!

tHE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT, PEOPLE ARE SUPPORTIVE, CLASSES ARE GREAT.
First, I like the people who work there. There is always a smile and good morning when I arrive and it makes my day start off right. Even though I only use the treadmill and the Nustep, there are a good variety of machines. The facilities are always clean, including the family shower rooms. It's just a great way to start my day!
