I have been coaching and my son has been playing in the YMCA leagues since he was 4- he is 8 now. Drew who runs the program is responsive, organized and helpful. From asking for advice on coaching to simple scheduling questions Drew is always responsive and helpful. The staff is excellent. The emphasis on sportsmanship is awesome. I couldn’t be happier with the basketball program. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get their child involved in youth sports.
My daughter has had a great experience playing both rec basketball and volleyball. She's learned new skills, grown as a player, and made new friends. We sign up every season and wish there was an option for recreational leagues for junior high and high school age kids who may not be on teams at school but who still just want to play for fun (as opposed to trying out for the comp teams at the older levels). We love the clean and comfortable work out environment as well.

Family friendly. Clean facility. So many options and great communication. My son plays basketball and we love it there! I love how cool the staff is about lowering the rim for us when we show up just to practice a little. I wouldn't join another gym if it were free.

I have been there since the day it opened. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. It is as clean as the day it opened. The availability and precautions during the covid years gave members a needed respite every day. There is no better way for me to start my day than to be at the YMCA.

I enjoy the facility but in particular I truly appreciate and support the two handball courts and the great friendships I’ve developed with many players at the Desert Foothills facility.

All employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Itake my four year old to the play area while I work out and she always has a fun and safe experience a d looks forward to returning.
I take classes and the teachers have great workouts and take the time to answer any questions. The gym is well equipped for a good workout a d again if I have any questions concerning one of the machines the personal trainers are more than willing to assist.
The Y also offers pickleball, which I plan to start playing next Fall.

We have had a great experience with the youth basketball program. Our coach has been wonderful! He positively encourages the kids to do their best. I also love the flexibility to make suggestions on the day of the week you can practice, as to not overwhelm someone’s schedule.
