My son and I had a great time, despite the inclement weather!
Had a great time with my daughter. Really enjoyed camp Grady spruce!
My 3rd grade son loves the campout, and it's a great opportunity for us to get away from the standard grind and technology to just have time together
It's amazing experience for our kids.
It’s great
I love the one-on-one time I get with my daughter, the strong sense of community, and how well run the campouts are. Would recommend it to every dad
Very good experience for the kids . They enjoy the sports activities thoroughly
Great time had at Possum Kingdom. Activities are good - horses, zipline, boat ride and hike. Good job to the organizers and volunteers. Only complaint is the council fire is still too long. Should be 15-20 minutes max. Thanks!
The positive messages, organized events and fun! Great bonding time with kids.
Family time with Dad & son, lots of fun activities, great camping locations
Great experiences for dads/daughters
An excellent way to get your kids in the woods and bond with them!
Our boys had the best time making life long memories at YMCA Adventure Guides - yatahey!
It's a wonderful and powerful bonding experience between Dad and daughter, building amazing memories. Meeting other great Dads and their daughters building friendships with yours having nonstop fun. Experiencing nature and the many activities make such an amazing experience.
Well organized. Good communication
I think it’s greatly organized.
Program is great. Food at Sky Ranch is terrible...has been terribly every year for as long as I can recall.
it is such a great time for the kids to connect with their dads - and for the kids to connect with each other - and for the dads to connect with other dads - we just love it
Isabella and the team do a phenomenal job of putting these campouts together for us dads!
Sky ranch amenities are great, but it is always way too crowded.
The time and unique experience it affords me and my children. There are not many better ways to build great memories!!!
Love the option for various activities - zip line, horseback riding, etc. Great father-son bonding.
Great experience and the kids love it.
It is a great way to spend time with your daughter or son and create lifelong memories!
We love participating in the YMCA Adventure Guides, but I feel like the group is missing some of what I remember hearing about w/ the old "Indian Guides". There were more organized tribal games, lessons, etc. Perhaps that is gone away now, but I think it would be fun to get back to some of those roots. I do love, however, all of the time spent and memories made with my boys!
I love adventure guides and plan to attend all that I can with all 3 of my kids.
BUT
My daughter and I just got back from Sky Ranch and I do want to provide feedback.
This is the 5th AG trip we have gone on and by far this was our lowest rated experience. I do not want to be critical and like I said, I love AG. Below is feedback.
-Our cabin was too small. We had 7 dads on fold out beds and there was not enough room
-the camp was extremely full
-seemed like Sky Ranch was under staffed. Seemed like not enough life guards. So slides were open 2 hours, blob was open 2 hours. This made the lines very long as everyone went to those activities for the short amount of time
-Horse - only had a handful of spots for hundreds of campers
-2 hour wait for the zip line
-Lunch on Saturday was burgers. Since dinner is on our own most camp sites are doing hamburgers and hot dogs. A different lunch option would be more thoughtful
Hoping this helps improve the experience for others.
Fun and low pressure environment for my kids to explore sports.
I truly appreciated Free Jersey and socks for soccer games!
However, I thought the coach will be provided!
YMCA made it so easy to sign up and follow the dates & times and events. Also, I liked that the sports parents didn’t get rude and the overall atmosphere was nice and sportsmanlike.

We really like this program. The leaders are very engaged, very good with communications, and offer training and game-nights several times each week. We also especially appreciate the fact that the YMCA offers the kids a relatively safe online platform for enjoying games and playing with others. I know that there is often not enough registrants for some of the tournaments, but that’s not the program’s fault. I hope ways can be found to grow membership which will make for an even better experience for everyone.
