Appreciate your service.
I had a great conversation with the Manager and the Instructor who evaluated my daughter. I also wanted to say the Instructor that was training my kid yesterday seemed like he didn't want to be there i believe his name is Lutha. Otherwise i have had a great experience bringing my kid for swimming and hopefully she can join the swim team
Great, dedicated staff and coaches
Wonderful senior classes with great leaders. Sense of community & a place to meet friends & improve our overall health & wellness.
The new is great! She is putting in a lot of effort toward the swim team. Correspondence has greatly improved. She is very involved and has brought a lot of positive changes to the team.
Swim team is well organized!
Fredy is amazing and make me feel comfortable being in the gym and using the machines. I always see families working out, and the front desk people are friendly.
Friendly family environment with more than adequate equipment and close proximity. I also like what the YMCA represents in the community.
Friendly staff, good trainers. Good equipment well maintained
The classes! Amy, April and Diane are awesome!!!
Great team - they always make me feel welcome. They also have lots of activities, excellent expertise - and they care!
My family has been going to the Coppell Y for over 20 years. We love the programs they offer for kids and young adults this also includes the after-school program. The building is kept clean, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The one improvement that is needed is in the group dance studio. The floor is not appropriate for any of the dance classes. The podium is a rubber floor and should be updated to accommodate dancing requirements. This is not good for the knees and our skeletal frame. The floor itself should be a springboard floor. We do a lot of twisting, jumping and turning.
Additional ventilation is also an issue. The fans that are currently in the room are not serving any purpose. They do nothing to improve air circulation.
Hopefully, this issue will be addressed in the near future.
Besides that, the YMCA is a great place to be a member of.
Loved the front desk staff the sweet childcare staff! Great selection of workout equipment and ease of parking!
Welcoming. Love Abby - the personal trainer. Great classes that are offered
Convenient and well planned. Front desk employees are very helpful and knowledgeable.
The work out area is filled with different things to workout on.
The pool is good for exercise too.
Friendly helpful staff. I love the facility!
Always a friendly greeting.
The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean and well maintained.
Coppell YMCA has transitioned into a more welcoming friendly environment in terms of the front office staff. Though they were never horrible in their community engagement as well as other aspects, I definitely see the growth created by the intentionality of aiming to become a solid gym that is committed to genuine care, equity and diversity. There use to be overt difference in the treatment btwn the Coppell Y and others, but now I see Coppell as one of the top gyms. The staff is amazing. The manager, Brooklyn is caring, friendly and always professional. I absolutely love love the instructors as well. I’m so happy to be a part of this wonderful community.
The friendly staff and ability to make friends while learning to live healthy and get in shape!
Front desk is friendly. Usually, weight machines are not crowded. Facility is kept very clean.
Not busy
Clean restaurants
Someone available if I have a question
They have great programs for children, good exercise facilities and classes, are community oriented and based on christian principles.
Nice facility. Good group of activities. Overall, a very pleasant environment.
I only play volleyball at the YMCA and have done so for over 10 yrs.
The group exercise teachers are awesome. The Y is one of the best deals in town for group exercise--some gyms charge extra for groups. I have been a member of YMCAs and YWCAs since my high school days.
Things that could be improved--bring back Body Combat on Wednesdays. The Cardio Interval class is great, but for those of us who do Body Pump on Tuesday and Thursday evenings it is overkill with weight lifting.
Get more Body Pump weights and bars. Equipment needs to be checked regularly. The Cycle Room IPad often isn't working, or it won't connect to the Les Mills classes.
There needs to be more variety and options for the evening classes. Members who work need to be offered classes similar to what are available in the day.
The adult women's bathroom needs to be labeled just that. Members bring in male children around age 6 and 8, which is totally inappropriate for a facility that advertises itself as a resource for cancer survivors. Members bring in younger children and change their babies' diapers on the benches in the adult women's bathroom.
There should be a clearer explanation for who can enter the family locker rooms.
Although televisions are now available in the exercise room, you can't use the equipment and watch TV without having to turn your head to the side, which is a strain. The equipment that has built in TVs can't be used because they don't connect to the Internet or the TV stations.
Bring back the BIG BOARD that listed the classes available during the week. The electronic versions offered aren't as accessible to many members. Just this past week a woman came in on Monday expecting a Body Pump class and was informed that it wasn't until Tuesday. I tried to show her how to use the website, and she said it was too complicated and overwhelming because it showed all of the available classes in the area. I showed her how to limit her search to the Coppell Y, and she said that it was too complicated. I showed her the 2 day class schedule on the electronic board, but it did not show Tuesday's classes! She said she would not use the electronic class reservation system.
Convenient and friendly.
Love the classes like Body Pump!
