What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

Love this facility! Staff is wonderful, offers a wide variety of classes, two pools, workout rooms, racquetball….. which allows me to change up my exercise routine from time to time.

What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

Having been a member since 1970's (off an on), I feel that the YMCA is part of my life.
Currently I enjoy swimming laps few times a week if possible.
I like the facilities and the family environment it provides to the members.

Great machines, fun and challenging fitness classes, and a CLEAN place to exercise. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. I actually look forward to coming here and working out!

What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

Proximity to home, so much choice that I cannot not find a class to do whenever I have an opening.
What I don’t like though is that some teachers are not good enough to lead a zumba class. There is only one teacher who does an amazing job ( and we absolutely live him) at firing up a zumba class. Also I wish the rooms would be cleaner.

What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

Honestly I haven’t been since Covid but I kept my membership active. Will come back soon.
I was seriously afraid of the water most of my life. Had a bad experience. I took several swimming classes there and now I can swim and dive from the side of the pool. Before my classes, I couldn’t even jump off the side of the pool into the water. It’s a great resource! I am looking forward to returning.

What do you like about your Park Street YMCA - Membership experience?

Friendly staff, clean showers, variety of classes, clean pool (although I recall the water used to be cleaner a year or two ago). I also love all the activities for the kids.
Some requests:
1. Could you put in a recyling bin in the locker rooms? I often have plastic shampoos and sometimes water bottles that should be recycled.
2. Could you fix the swimsuit spinner machine that dries the suits?
3. Can we have the towel service back?

As a senior, I am happy about the variety of exercise available for my age group. I find the staff welcoming and professional.

Pool deck is sometimes gritty and / or slimy by the back ladders and walk way

Best YMCA I’ve been to so far. Very clean, great hours,working machines and fun classes. I’m subleasing in the neighborhood temporarily, but this Y makes me want to stay!

The pools are so clean and well maintained. The locker room is very specious and clean. The showers are nice as well. The staff is friendly and courteous. I had a very nice experience!

I just moved back to Montclair after living elsewhere for 19 years. One of the first things I wanted to do was join the YMCA because I was a member for years when I lived in this area. I am still navigating my way to getting there to join the yoga classes and to use the pool. When I left Montclair, I was 50 and now that I am 70, I can see that it will be an entirely new experience! I am looking forward to starting a regular attendance very soon. Thanks.
