I have recommended YMCA swim lessons to friends
We have been really happy with our experience doing private swim lessons. Our coach is lovely and my son is really responding to her. Would be nice if it was only other private lessons and we didn't have to compete with a group lesson but overall its been a great experience.

Claire was so amazing with my daughter. So kind, but firm and my daughter learned so much. I would recommend her one thousand percent. I really felt like she was invested in my daughter making progress.
It has saunas and is pretty clean. I wish the towel service was back, though!
So far we’ve had two instructors, Justin and Venice. They’ve both been absolutely amazing. Great working with kids, knowing how to motivate them, get them not scared of the water and just generally enthusiastic about swimming.
Anna has also been great, very responsive and always willing to try to work with us to find good scheduling solutions.
We look forward to more advanced lessons and getting the kids on a swim team at some point!

I love the affordability and how kind the teachers are. I love the curriculum and technique. My only critique is that I think the instructora need to be more hands on when teaching certain things like diving and such. Showing kids outside the pool is not always the same than physically showing them in the pool.

I like that the instructors have customized each session to the participants. We all have different experience swimming and are better at some strokes than others, but the instructors adjust their guidance versus following some prescribed plan. I also really love the sense of community and connections that I have gained with other class members. It is a very supportive environment all around, and I look forward to taking more swim lessons!
Our instructor was wonderful - patient, kept class moving, had good recommendations for building skills. And was cool when our child felt lazy and didn't want to do anything!

My son was scared of the pool and Mr Bill did such a great job with him that now he’s so confident in the pool. My son really enjoys his swimming lessons I really recommend Park Street YMCA
It was first time learning how to swim and I feel like I’ve progressed so much. I had a great instructor (Gaudy) - forgive me if I misspelled her name. She was so kind and encouraging through the process.
