Swimming pool and instructor
The Park Street YMCA is clean, well equipped and easily accessible. The staff are friendly and patrons are respectful.
1. Excellent selection of hours of operation;
2. Nice selection of knowledgeable customer service representatives, from entry level personnel to upper management staff;
3. Fantastic selection of exercise machines, cardio and weight options, and two swimming pools, for Christ’s sake!!!

The Y has a wide variety of classes with very good instructors for a very reasonable price. The Y is kept clean with the twice yearly closings for repair/cleaning.
I basically use the various weight rooms. They are clean and reasonably well equiped. And the Y location is very convenient.

The people, especially the aquatics director! I don't know how she remembers every detail a out everything, but she DOES! Give her and all the swim instructors a raise, honestly, because they are unfailingly excellent.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the group fitness classes - Rayshawn's boot camps, Mary's step and sculpt, and Gerald's Zumba. You have a great schedule that meets my needs. Thank you for all you do to make the Y a great fitness community.

Convenience
Montclair ymca is the best! The equipment is new and well maintained, the classes are excellent, the pool, and the people! I would never go anywhere else.
My husband and I joined in February. We come at least 4 days a week, sometimes multiple times in one day. We enjoy our fellow gym goers - so welcoming and caring and not hoity-toity, as well as the instructors - fun, knowledgeable and professional, and all the staff who always have a kind word and smile when we come and go.
I like the variety of classes with different instructor's plus the variety of time
