Mathnasium has been a life changing experience for my 8th grade daughter. Three months ago, at the the end of 7th grade, her math comprehension tested at the mid-4th grade level. She was a 3rd grader during the pandemic and had trouble learning math from home. As time went on, she lost confidence and stopped asking questions in class. She would often say she was “bad at math.” After only 3 months at Mathnasium, she earned an 87 in Algebra for first quarter. She loves going to tutoring and finds it very relaxing to spend an hour solving problems. She even says that math is fun and she has discovered that she’s pretty good at it. We are going to stick with it until she feels ready to leave and then drop in if she needs extra support over the next few years.

My middle schooler lacked confidence in her math skills and would perform poorly on class exams as well as standardized test. Having a place to review and reinforce concepts, as well as a calm space in which to do/complete her homework with possible assistance from the Mathnasium tutors, increased her confidence and improved her performance during stressful test-taking. The tutors at River Center are consistently knowledgeable and encouraging. The Center director is outstanding, with great communications skills and insights. The hours this Mathnasium is open are thoughtfully planned, so that kids can get there after school and even after extracurricular activities on weeknights, which is much appreciated by our family.

Mathnasium helps my kids so much. They showed a marked improvement in math when they started attending it. Both are in accelerated math in school and it helps expand their learning.

My family wants to thank Mathnasium for the remarkable change in attitude and skills we have seen develop in our daughter. We started tutoring because we noticed that our daughter was getting frustrated by math and saying that she "just wasn't good" at it. Mathnasium identified the skills she needed to work on. After a good deal of work, she just got into accelerated math and scored an "outstanding" Level 4 on the state testing last year. We are so proud of her hard work. It's definitely a credit to Mathnasium.

Mathnasium shed light on the situation, and we could see what she was missing conceptually. Then they put together a learning plan. My daughter and I hugged Cat, the manager, before we left, I kid you not.

Kid has gone 1-3 times a week for 6 weeks, and guess what? She likes Math. She's learning steadily (but at her own pace) and prefers going to the center rather than zooming in remotely. I have heard my daughter say, "Math is, like, actually fun!"

My son hated math class, but loves coming to Mathnasium. He likes that they make math fun with games and prizes and his grades improved, so it is great for everyone!

Mathnasium is a great facility! The programs are thorough and individualized. My daughter loves attending here and is learning consistently. Highly recommend!

My daughter went from thinking she was "bad at math" to actually enjoying the challenge of math problems. After a series of unfortunate events with math teachers at school, she was behind after Covid. She has caught up and is excelling in math now. I'm so happy that she says she likes math and feels confident in her ability to be challenged by new material.

My daughter really enjoyed learning with her tutors at Mathnasium. She enjoyed math before but after working all summer at Mathnasium they really sparked a love for Math and she now has a lot of confidence in her abilities!

We love the tutors and my daughter is already improving. I do wish they were open on Fridays or Saturdays just because it is hard to get there during the week with school and sports.

Our son's math quiz grades have gone up appreciably since he started at Mathnasium.

My experience has been great, but I wish they were open Friday and Saturday. My daughter has some learning difficulties and the staff is accommodating and understanding.

While it has only been a month at Mathnasium my daughter’s mathematical confidence is returning. Raj and his team of tutors have created a safe and comfortable space for her to ask questions and explore the gaps in her knowledge created by the Covid shutdown.
