The staff and clientele are friendly. The facility is clean and well maintained, and not as crowded as the YMCA at Ross Road.
Love the facility, the gym equipment, and the pool in summer. The kids club is also awesome.
Facilities open to community
The place is great-- extremely friendly and welcoming staff, ample parking, never too crowded to find a machine to use, a wide assortment of classes.
My one suggestion is to improve the cleanliness of the upstairs bathrooms and studio 1. Atonio does a great job keeping the floors of the workout rooms clean, but the studio floor is always covered with hair! Upstairs bathrooms often have clogged drains and dirty sinks.

The people are friendly, both the staff and the members, and you have the equipment I need. I think the Y plays an important role in the surrounding community, while places like 24 Hour Fitness or other boutique-like for-profit fitness places do not.
People are friendly, gym is not crowded. I especially like the yoga/Zumba/Pilates group exercise classes. My husband enjoys the pool; it is never crowded for lap swim.

Atmosphere,friendliness, quality of classes
I like Carol Hedges spinning classes and Anita Black's various aerobic classes. They are exceptional instructors and have an excellent feel for the class and individuals ability.
It would increase members if adding more and diverse classes and adding full classes on Sundays. Facility clearness needs to improve, such as shower rooms, studio floors, equipment/props, both hair dryers in lady's shower room need change/repair.

It's simple, straight-forward, very family-oriented-- not glitzy or fancy. I love that! The staff are incredibly friendly. The whole place is about serving people, especially families. The advertisements and other literature promote fitness as good common-sense health, rather than appealing to people's vanity. That's wonderful! And it's the one fitness gym I can afford!
Quiet place to workout and I like that the child care center is small and not too many kids at once.
