Dance classes for really young children! Classes encorporate dress up and are well suited to very young children. Teaching artists seem really well vetted: really great with the kids and strong curriculum.

For musical theater kris supports each student at their level and encourages them to push themselves enough to feel good about their growth but not too much that she/he feels discouraged. As a parent I am always impressed with the the quality of the show

Singing, dancing, giggling, and pretty costumes...what more could a little girl ask for?? :) My daughters enjoyed their dance camp very much (Aristocats @ Lafayette, week of Aug 15th). The dance instructor was very nurturing and encouraging, and my daughters said they want to come back to camp next summer for another musical.

Only one day in, but I love that it's giving my theater-curious kid a safe, supportive chance to try out acting and singing and see how she likes it. :) Clearly a kid-first approach to theater, which is great.

My daughter had a class with Jaq in Oakland, so she was familiar with her but this time, I had no problem leaving my daughter, and I don't mean being worried about her, I mean my daughter letting go. Every day she was happy to go join the group and was happy when I got her.
