Maitland is a fantastic teacher! My 2.5 year old Emilia is slow to warm and shy even once warmed up. I’m so thankful for Maitland’s patience and warmth, which allows Emilia to feel comfortable enough to engage. She loves the class and has asked for “dance class” nearly daily over the holiday break!

I really enjoyed Miss Jennie's genuine enthusiasm for making the camp a special experience for the kids. She realized that at that age it was truly about having fun and went out of her way to help me since I have twin babies and could use a little help :) We are very excited for First name removed's class this Winter and have already shared our great experience at kids n dance.

The institution lets the children be their true self/personality.
Diversity of the students and teachers, frequency and variety of classes.
This 'semester' has been really great for my daughter. Things that I particularly liked was:
1) The choice of Beauty and the Beast- my daughter is not into princesses, but really identifies with the character of Belle. There were lots of fun characters for the kids to get into.
2) The CD! It seems like such a small thing, but it really gives my child advocacy to play the songs herself.
3) Teacher Ariel. She seems to know right when the kids need a break, and my child appears to feel very safe and comfortable with her.
Things I would suggest:
I solicited feedback and received it. This feedback was not only helpful in helping to understand my child's experience with the play, but also to understand an overarching learning style and inability to focus that my child will require help with. It was Ariel's feedback that was the catalyst to get my daughter a proper assessment. I would think all parents and children could benefit from a one or two line feedback from the teacher, or even a checkmark form if that was too time consuming.
Overall, my daughter has been very happy with her experience for this play.
My kids have a great time with the musicals and the dance classes.
I was amazed that you could put on a solid show working with kids only 75 minutes a week. That was pretty great!

My kids had a great time in their class. I suspect the costumes had a lot to do with it! But they enjoy dancing, and my daughter has started inventing her own dances now, with costumes of her own.
I like the fact that it is fun and low key. My daughter really enjoys it and there is no pressure or competitiveness.
