It is a safe and structured environment for my family to work on emproving our health and have fun with family and friends.
I only like the water aerobics for seniors with arthritis. Too bad that the water temperature can't be better controlled, one day cool, one day cold, one day warm. I finally saw a sign on the spinner machine that extracts water from swimsuits, that a part was ordered in March to fix the machine. If I recall, the spinner in the women w/children side has been broken for over a year. I was told that when the spinner in the women's side eventually broke down, both machines would be removed and not replaced.
I have purchased a house in Greensburg, Indiana and hope to be moved in by June 1st. There is a YMCA in Greensburg that I intend to join so I can keep up with my water classes.

My son loves swimming at the Y. He looks forward to every Saturday with Emma.
I am very pleased with the overall services and program at the YMCA Benjamin Harrison. I decided as a 45 year old mother, this year I am going to learn how to swim. My family and I obtained a membership and we started using the workout area, did a bicycling class and the kids love the kids club. After about a few weeks of working out, I decided to sign up for swim lesions. Like I mentioned earlier, I am 45 years old, so as I was signing up, I asked them to assign me to their best person who has a lot of patience, lol. I got just what I asked for. I am now in my second session and I could not be more proud of myself but also the support and hard work from the Aquatics Director. She encourages me and I appreciate everything the YMCA has done for me and my family.
I love KhaIrya and Ayden. They are great at engaging the children and keeping them safe. I am grateful that the YMCA offer swim lessons at an affordable rate.
Carrington is very good working with my son on swim lessons.
I also enjoy teaching the Aqua Zumba class.
The vent system throughout the facility needs to be cleaned. There is an unbelievable amount of dust/dirt in the vents. This Debi’s doesn’t allow the HVAC system to run very efficiently. Also, you need some ceiling fans and exhaust fans in the locker rooms. They are very hot and steamy. There is mold, growing on the ceiling in the women’s locker room. This is an indication that you need to vent the room more properly and clean the vents that are in the area

After a pretty long absence for no reason in particular, I returned to the Y at Fort Ben and was delighted to see some of my old pickle Ball friends and a general remodel that has improved the look, feel and utility of the facility. Love the new workout room arrangement!
Of course the people "minding the store" are marvelous and welcoming!
Parking is convenient and the guests are courteous, respectful and inviting. Really a wonderfully multifaceted center for a person to shape up.

Gym, clean locker room, kind and courteous employees. There are something I don't understand. But, that not my call.
