Good programs for seniors. A special shout out to Ann at the desk. She knows everyone by name and when I had surgery in September and was home bound for 3 months, I received 2 lovely handwritten thoughts for my recovery from her. It meant so much.
I have been a YMCA member for over 3 years, but for the last 2.5 years, I’ve made the Benjamin Harrison YMCA my home base—and I couldn't be happier. Even though I have another YMCA closer to my house, I happily drive the extra 10 minutes to come here. It is absolutely worth it.
For swimmers, this facility is unmatched. They have two fantastic pools: a dedicated lap pool and a separate one for kids and activities. The variety of aquatic programming is incredible, ranging from shallow and deep water aerobics to sensory swimming and even SCUBA!
Beyond the pool, the facility is top-notch. The locker rooms and showers are always impeccable. From the moment you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the staff, setting a positive tone for the whole visit. But what truly sets Benjamin Harrison apart is the community. I’ve met so many wonderful people here who are just looking to stay active and healthy.
There simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe this organization and location. Highly recommended!
Friendly & inviting to people of all fitness levels
I am not a good candidate for input of your various programs. I recently just started going back to the gym to exercise. I like the exercise machines.

Friendly staff. Locker rooms need revamping/remodeling, which would include better ventilation. Would be amazing if a sauna can be added to the facilities.

When I moved here to Indy to be near my grandkids. I purposely selected a location to be near Ft Ben area. Partly, because I read their YMCA had an indoor swimming pool. As I am part of the Silver Sneakers program. I have not been disappointed. I like that they post the pool hours online. And the staff checking you in and life guarding the pool are excellent. Highly recommend it.

I mainly use the workout room and sometimes the pool. My 2 year old is in the Daycare which has been absolutely amazing for him! We also utilize the childcare on Saturdays so I can work out. I love everything about the Fort Ben Y!

The equipment is new and in good shape. The classes that I’ve taken were challenging but doable.
My absolute favorite thing about the Fort Ben Y is Sonya's Cardio Dance class on Tuesday nights. It is such a welcoming community. Everyone belongs and they are like family. I've truly not experienced another workout class like it. It's fun, improved my fitness level, and I've made new friends.
