I have been a member of both Venice and Englewood YMCA's for about 20 years. Both have excellent and helpful Staffs and are doing an amazing job of rebuilding after Hurricane Ian, knowing that it is slow going because of so much damage to the area and difficulty in getting already overwhelmed local labor to do the work.
Your programs are excellent and a great mixture for both men & women. Great Job and keep signing up the new members that are fulfilling their New Years Resolutions. David "Mac" McIntyre

Great facility.
Wonderful variety of programs

I use the pool only and it is well maintained. The front desk people are always polite and welcoming.
My only negative comment would be that the at times the pool is very busy and you have to wait for a lane. I wish they could increase the lifeguard staffing so the entire pool could be open at busy times.

Like the classes! However, you need to schedule more of the same classes. It is ridiculously hard to try and register for them!

wonderful classes, motivate me to get and stay fit, fun zumba, positive staff

I am legally blind so I am limited in what classes work for me. The spin program is great for me.
I do Val's class 3 times a week. She is wonderful and is so supportive of me with my vision issue. I also did Jan's chair yoga class on Fridays. I am able to sit in the front row so I can follow. I am so disappointed that the studio is still not repaired. I hope the repairs will be completed soon.
I have been a member for almost 12 years and the "Y" is my happy place.

I use and enjoy the weight training equipment.

I really like the A O A program for seniors that need to have the work out and motivation.
I broke a hip , July 29th, the progrsm has been a great help in putting me back on my feet.

Everything is great, lots of variety.

I love the Venice Y. I love the variety and the multiple choices of exercise machines. The pool is awesome, as is the cardio area. I don't participate in any of the classes but I do hear good things about them. I am a bit concerned about the lack of maintenance of some of the equipment, and the length of time it has taken to repair things. I'm also concerned about the lack of cleanliness in the locker room and find no paper towels occasionally, in addition to soaking wet floors and toilets that are running and wasting water. I live in Englewood and I take the time to go to Venice instead of using the Englewood Y

Instructors for classes are great.

We love the racquetball court and would love more if the second court would be fixed. The snowbirds are coming in and we need a second court.

Nice quantity and selection of machines in weight rooms

The Y has a heated pool and a hot tub which I use several times a week.

I attend Jan's Forever Fit class and her chair yoga when she is able to teach it. It has been a
problem since the 'A' room has been closed since Hurricane Ian. I sometimes go to Zumba also.

They have all kinds of machines that I don't use but they are there if I want. The facility is very
clean and the camaradarie is great. Tfhe staff are very helpful.

Classes! Zumba And Forever Fit. Would LOVE more Zumba classes with different teachers.

The Venice YMCA is a showcase for family programing focused on building healthy minds and bodies. The variety of activities seem endless and watching or being part of these programs demonstrates the quality and very often, outright fun, these provide. The spaciousness of the area devoted to resistance training is remarkable. Almost any age participant will find suitable equipment to comfortably exercise. The Venice YMCA is a very welcoming facility. The staff are friendly and helpful. It truly embodies the value and mission of the YMCA.
