Well organized
We loved our Coach Matt, he was very patient and kind. The games were beautifully run. I love the more intimate dynamic versus Strikers soccer club. Illness hit us the last couple games, but we'll definitely be back in the Spring!
Great program for these age groups. Perfect introduction to group sports but with an understanding of their ages and skills they are capable of. Family friendly and we have really enjoyed several seasons!
The attitude, team atmosphere and positive role model coaches are precisely why I continue to sign my children up for sports at the Goochland Y. My kids feel very comfortable not only with the coaches but with their peers here.
The Y sports are affordable, convenient and I can trust that the kids are enjoying themselves in a team environment that's not overly competitive or exclusive of those who are less skilled.
We had a great experience with the Goochland YMCA's soccer program. We had a child in both the 3-4 and 5-6 year old age group and whoever made the schedule made sure that our times and locations worked so that both parents could make it to every game. We really appreciate that.
Our family enjoyed our first time joining the Y Cross Country team this year.
The programs teach the kids to respect each other, good sportsmanship, and how to work together as a team. We have loved being a part of the soccer program in Goochland. It is the perfect size, all teams are filled and Coach Nate knows and greets each family/child as they arrive and leave. He has truly made our family feel important and our kids LOVE seeing coach Nate anytime we’re at the Y.
Nate has truly made the Goochland Y’s childrens programs memorable.

My kids enjoyed playing sports with thier friends and meet & making new friends while learning to be apart of a team.
Programs are timed to fit into busy family’s schedules. Coach Mate knows each child’s name and makes the whole family feel welcome. The kids love coming to the Goochland Y. It is the perfect blend of people and not so crowded you feel overwhelmed.
I like that they are family friendly and when the staff notices that a child is excelling and not being challenged they recommend them to move up

I like that the program ages include the little ones. Starting them early in a sport helps them learn how to be a team player & good sportmanship early while being physically active.

Nathan Mondragon is fantastic. He is good with the kids and parents, balancing firmness with upbeat enthusiasm for the sport and sportsmanlike behavior.
The administration was wonderful. Very welcoming and made my child excited for the sport.
