I love that there's a life guard stationed right next to the 3-5 year olds swim lessons. My 3 year old does not know how to swim so I'm very comforted that help is right there if needed!

I live in another state and wanted to investigate options for my granddaughter to enroll and participate in classes at her local Y.
She had been going to a gym with her dad and told me she is in the pool when they go. When I replied "so you're swimming when he's at the gym", she lovingly corrected me she had said she's in the pool and enlightened me she doesn't know how to swim. I asked if she wanted lessons and she swooned and asked, "Oh yes, may I please, Grandma?"
I searched various swimming schools but couldn't find one close to their remote location. A volunteer who assists me mentioned the Y.

I checked online and noticed the significance difference in pricing between member & non member swimming sessions. When I contacted them, I was made aware of a "free daily one-week introductory class" in May and encouraged to immediately sign her up. I was assured I could sign her up under me, since I had limited information regarding her mom.

I asked asked about a discount since her mom was presently living at home, but I didn't feel it was fair to incorporate their income. I was transferred to another person who helped explain a scholarship process and the new fees.

I was very grateful as I relayed the information to my granddaughter's mom. She chose the time slots that work best for them and I completed the registration for the initial class.

Very friendly staff. Very clean facility. Parking is convenient. The group swim classes are sized appropriately to allow plenty of 1 on 1 instruction per session. The layout of the pool area is very well thought out. We really appreciate that free swim is allowed, especially in the kids section the entire time. With us having siblings that are spaced a few years apart and involved in different sports, it makes it very pleasant for all of us to enjoy the pool during our entire time there instead of just during their particular session.

The instructor works very well with my and keeps him engaged and motivated during his sessions. He is eager to learn and always ready to return to his next session.

I like the small class size and the teachers have been great with my grandson!

The 11:30 am swim instructor for my 3 year old grandson was just amazing last Saturday. She really related well to all the children. She sang songs to make it fun for the children and my grandson can't wait to go back.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and the swim lessons have helped my son progress as a swimmer. I appreciate the safety rules for young children. Parents need to stay close to their young non-swimmers.

I love the classes that I take in the gym, the instructors are really nice and they’re explanation is easy to follow. The swimming classes for kids are really good to. So nice to go and have a good time doing some class or exercise

My daughters are learning the fundamentals of swimming. I like the attention they are getting in their classes and I can see that the instructors are giving them helpful instruction.

The instructors are so wonderful and Jesse, whom I believe is the coordinator of aquatics, has done such a wonderful job. I've watched her with the swim team, swim lessons, she's just been a fantastic leader for YMCA. Lucky to have her!

The swim program is at a convenient time in a convenient location. My children of different age groups can swim at similar times and while I can utilize the child watch for my baby. The coaches are knowledgeable, welcoming, and engaging. My children have lots of fun while they learn. We have experienced swim lessons at Aqua tots where the instruction is rigorous and my oldest child never had fun because it was difficult and demanding. She has loads of fun and is learning even more in the YMCA swim lessons. Both of my children look forward to their lessons.
