The wide array of activities and the AMAZING staff! They are so in tune with the kids as well as the parents- communication is excellent (I have a child in East Village who needs a little extra support) and I feel so good about having my kids here. They come home happy and tired every day!
There has been a vast improvement since my son attended five years ago and refused to go back. Some of my daughters friends went last year and their parents liked it so gave it a try this year for my Daughter, She loves it, but she tends to love anything social. However, from my perspective as a parent:
1: Stellar communication
2: Kids look happy not bored/hot and irritated
3: Pick up patrol makes it so much easier if you have changes on a certain day in transportation
4: Signing up, we signed up at an event, but then paying the balance and the office stuff were so incredibly pleasant and anytime I had a question. I’m pretty sure it was Cathy. She got right back to me.!!
5: Option to buy ice cream
6: Choices available for kids if they don’t want to participate in a certain activity. When my son attended, if they didn’t want to swim, they made them sit on the beach and the hot sun. His friends, his same age report the same situation so I know it wasn’t a one off.
7: The themes and the schedule and sticking to them totally rock!
8: Clearly, a step up in staffing management and communication!!

My son was not allowed to swim today because he was told he hadn’t passed his swim test…which he did a few weeks past. Also his lunch bag was taken while changing to swim. So not a great day

My son comes home happy and exhausted. Lauren B has been amazing to work with and is always very helpful.
We love the activities, values, and time outdoors. The staff are incredibly kind and caring.

My kids have loved the activities, the lake, and the counselors. The camp is awesome. I do wish the facilities were less outdated but the kids still enjoy how much there is to do.

My child has been attending this camp for a few years now, and I am very pleased with all aspects; ease of signing up, the personnel and especially the camp counselors and activities!
The activities are very engaging, the counselors are animated, patient and communicative and the kids seem happy to go to camp everyday and take part in Family Night. Liam is loving it!!

The y program has been great. Everyone involved has been extremely helpful. The field trips have been great for the kids, and the everyday activities really keeps the kids involved

My kiddos have gone to the summer program and its been wonderful. Filled with many field trips to great locations. That have had a fun summer. 😊

Everything!!! The staff is amazing with ever kid. Mikey has a couple challenges within. Himself and the staff treats him wonderfully and meets him where he is at at any given moment he is facing. Love them
From the directors and the behavioral support staff, to the counselors and CITs and everyone else who a roll in creating a place where my son can thrive and have the best summer of hood little life, I cannot thank you all enough!
