Ten years ago, my niece in San Diego gave me a gift coupon for Garbos for my birthday. I asked her why Garbos and she said because they had the top Yelp reviews in Austin. It happened that I was looking for a new hairdresser, so I made an appointment. Needless to say I was very pleased with the courteous staff, the cleanliness of the salon, the selection of products, and of course, my hairdresser. I have and will continue to visit Garbos. I've never EVER been disappointed with the service. Even the shampoos are awesome :)

What did you like most about your salon experience?

I had been waiting in the wings and following Brianna James for a year. What I really loved was her expertise about vintage hair and how enthusiastic and happy she was to teach me what she was doing as she did it. There are very few hairdressers who really truly understand the techniques of vintage hairstyling and are able to translate that for modern day people. Brianna is a master.

What did you like most about your salon experience?

I gifted my mom and sister facials by Marina and they both expressed the wonderful and truly relaxing time they had. The staff was super nice and was a seamless experience from start to finish!! Will definitely be back soon!

Gretchen created amazing highlights with a bright toner and sophisticated cut leaving me with elegant, easy to care for hair that my husband noticed immediately when I got home. She was friendly and professional, and most importantly talented. I have thinning hair and the result actually makes me look younger and my hair thicker. Marsha, the owner also popped by to ensure everything was up to her high standards. The entire experience was very enjoyable.

Crystal really listened to how I wanted my haircut & really payed attention to detail. I was so thrilled about my cut! It was exactly what I wanted.
