Great fitness classes, weight, yoga, active, spin class & turf.
Great instructors for said classes...
Fortunate enough to have several ymca's close so there is a
Large variety of times for said classes.
I like the plus facility's at my home y...hot tub ,steam room, sauna, social area as well as equipment for working out.
Great members as well..very much a family community setting..
It has everything you need for keeping fit, good health, good companionship, etc. etc.
Clean equipment
Friendly staff
Welcoming vibes all around!
Group classes are amazing. The coaches are super warm and extremely helpful. I recently started my Y thrive and the coach was very accomodating and really paid attention to my form during exercises.
I like the swimming pool very much. I enjoy the relaxation area being able to have a snack and drink. If I may I'd like to say that I do miss the hot tub in the pool area. I hope you may be able to reopen it in the future. Thank you for caring.
Very affordable nice place nice workers full recommend
I swim every day I can and the pool is run well . The men’s plus change room is also a great benefit - used widely and appreciated.
That they are free and many different types of activities
I love the people there very friendly and helpful
Staff and volunteers extremely helpful and knowledgeable, feels like a down to earth community
The Centre Branch YMCA provides a safe and inclusive environment to all members of the community to pursue their health and wellness goals. The staff are awesome!!
I am trying to get an appointment with someone from the YThrive program but just am repeatedly told to call next week, next week comes and we start again.
Other than that it appears well equipped
Swimming and exercise equipment.
All of them ! My favourite is boot camp and yoga !!
I like the group classes and the pool. I like to swim lengths. I wish there were more group fight classes during the day.
There is a good variety of classes. I would like to see some of the past classes come back for seniors though
I enjoy the variety.
Haven’t used them more than once but friendly.
The aquafit is great but need to have more evening classes.
All is great when all the system is working which is most of the time.
It would be super higenetically nice if the Shower area, Wet & Dry Saunas plus Zaquzzi where pressure cleaned a least once a week. Now that winter is over, the Locker rubber floor mats could use a nice wash.
Otherwise all is okay to still be a Y Member.
Regretfully, although I approve of all the programs and activities I've heard of, other commitments have prevented me from participation in most group activities so far. Hope to free up time in the future ...
I like the set up of the center branch and enjoying my menbership
Geared to various abilities.
Social aspects.
Great instructors.
Excellent leadership.
Wide range of activities for seniors
I feel welcome every time I visit, the front desk staff always give me a wave and a smile which encourages me to come back. I'm at the very start of my fitness journey but I feel comfortable coming to Central branch. I also love the videos the team make for the Facebook page- e.g. the vid to explain the parking situation during the King St construction. Having the info in video format helped me feel less anxious / stopped me from making excuses not to show up ;)
Great swimming lessons for my toddler. Convenient location!
Great.place
I love the Aquafina classes.
Accessibility, friendliness.
I haven't indulged in any because I only have basic membership. That said, I'm glad I can use the squash court! :-)

I like being part of a community that is more than a gym. The dedication to social and community programs, education and mentorship are values I hold dear about the Y.
I enjoy the diversity and intergenerational programming.
The Y’s awareness towards ableism and fostering accessibility is something you don’t find at other physical fitness facilities.
