My daughter was given a competency exam to determine her level of ability and a plan was made to assist her in building her skills. Although math is not her favorite subject, she is feeling more confident and less stressed out.

The focused math practice that our daughter has had at Salem Mathnasium over the past five months has been a great help to her academic growth this fall. Our daughter went from struggling with math to being one of the top students in her class. Reviewing and working on foundational math skills has been a game-changer. Once she mastered those tools, using logic and deconstructing any math problem became second nature. I am proudest when I hear her walking classmates/friends through a complex math problem and explaining the steps she took to reach the correct answer. She no longer struggles with test anxiety, feeling lost/frustrated about what she is learning and instead exudes confidence and sharing her knowledge with others.

We have had a great experience with our 8 year old daughter. She is picking up math concepts quickly and the work she is doing is creating a much more solid base than she was getting in school and its fun!

Before going to Mathnasium, my daughter had horrible anxiety about doing math almost to the point of tears. Math was not her strong subject and just the the word "math" would bring on the anxiety.

Luckily, I found MATHNASIUM! Tommy has been incredible from day one of meeting him. He truly cares about the kids and it shows. The whole staff are amazing!

She now has confidence in doing math, and will even practice on her own. It is still a hard subject, but she gets it, and without the anxiety and tears.

My son started at Mathnasium over two years ago in the middle of the pandemic after falling behind without in person class time. Now that he is back in a typical classroom and his entire academic experience has improved dramatically. He loves school, and still loves going to Mathnasium during the summers when he lives in Salem all week. He speaks so highly of Mathnasium that his 7 year old sister is now attending at her own insistence. If it were possible, I'm sure we would attend throughout the school year.
