Our kids had a fantastic time at Camp Braveheart at the Northside Y - they made new friends and had fun stories to tell every day. We are going on vacation for the remainder of the summer and they're actually sad to not be at camp.
You focus on being outside and have a great range of activities. Your hours fit with the workday but are really flexible. Your staff are fantastic and caring.

- it's a full day camp which is very needed because my wife and i both work full time
- it's close to where we live so drop off and pick up are convenient
- there is a diversity of activities, including swimming, and archery
- my kid gets to be around other kids and play

For starters ;it’s the diversity in staff overall for me! We actually drive past three Y branches to get to this one and live in Western Hanover. The leaders genuinely care about the kids. My daughter wakes up early every morning and is excited about coming to camp. She says she feels safe and welcomed and loves the fact that there are a good number of “brown people “ that understands her.

We love the staff at the Y and all they put into planning. Our kid is having a blast every day and can't wait to go back the next day.

I love that they keep the kids involved in different activities and busy all day. They huddle sizes are small which I appreciate. My child goes to bed earlier every night because he has been kept busy and has been physically active all day! He enjoys camp and wants to go every day which lets me know that he is enjoying himself. Money well spent!
The best staff to work with your child. Multiple activities that help your child grow as a person. The ymca also teaches morals.
