I haven't seen any counselor interaction with the kids, but have to assume if my very shy and non athletic children are asking to be dropped off early, someone is doing something wonderful. So much so they asked during week 3 if they could go back next year.

The summer camp program kept my "shy" diva engaged. I didn't think that she would like being outdoors but her words are "I love summer camp!" She has also come along way with having fun in water due to the cofidence built through swim lessons. We had other plans already set in July for her but we are already looking forwarding to finishing out the summer with camp at the Y in August. We are so happy that she enjoys the program so much and gets active outdoors with indoor perks like swimming lessons! Camp at the Y will be priority for summers to come.
