We have had a very good experience at Mathnasium Carlington. The owner has been very responsive, accommodating and available to answer all my questions.
My daughter needed to upgrade her math so she can take an advanced high school math credit; she has never liked math before. After beginning tutoring at Mathnasium, she began to understand math and even enjoy it. She has been very pleased with her progress. The tutors were very knowledgeable and have made the concepts easy to understand.

Our daughter is really enjoying Mathnasium and it’s very helpful for high school teachers are too busy to respond to questions and clarify misunderstandings. The setting is conducive to doing homework and getting the extra help needed.

Our two kids have been enrolled at Mathnasium on Carlington (which is actually located on Wellington Street West in Hintonburg) for the past 6 months. Although neither of them have been flagged by their teachers as “struggling” with math, we noticed that their understanding of core/fundamental math elements (which should probably have been mastered during the pandemic/online learning timeframe) was not where it should be. To ensure they wouldn’t fall behind in the years ahead, we decided to look into math tutoring and found Mathnasium.

The Mathnasium location is spacious, beautiful and very clean. During our first visit, Ola (owner/centre director of Mathnasium) gave our kids an assessment to understand what they know, and what they don’t (but should) know based on their grade level. Based on the results of their assessment, Ola set up a customized learning plan for each of them.

My kids are currently going twice per week (1 hour each time) and they enjoy going - no lie. They enjoy the space, the incentive/rewards program and (I think) the increase in confidence that comes with seeing their progress over the weeks and months. Without a doubt, we have noticed an improvement in our kids’ mathematical literacy, especially with regards to multiplication/division where they learned effective shortcuts and tricks to solve real-life number problems.

The Mathnasium instructors seem very engaged, friendly and professional. Ola is very passionate about her business and seems very invested in her students. On international Pi day (March 14/3.14), Ola threw a party for her Mathnasium students with delicious snacks, fun math games and prizes. Both my kids had a blast. I would not hesitate to recommend Mathnasium. It’s a well developed and effective learning program.

Overall great service, Ola and her staff go over and above to make the experience great for the families in this program.

Great for kids to learn math. My son loves this.

We are a few sessions in to our plan and my son is very much enjoying his time at mathnasium. He is learning more advanced concepts than I could help with at home and he speaks highly of that staff and their abilities to teach and guide him in his progress.

Ola and her team have built tremendous confidence for my daughter. Success in math bleeds into all subjects and she is thriving in school after 18 months at Mathnasium.
