Mathnasium is a good program to ensure your child is performing at grade level math or beyond. Our center worked with us to blend Mathnasium’s curriculum while supporting classroom material simultaneously. We appreciate their efforts to listen to both parent and student input.

Math is my 6th grader's weakest subject and virtual learning made his performance worse. When he returned to in-person learning, he was 2 grades behind in math skills. He was getting Cs and Ds and his confidence and willingness to learn was low. I was struggling to help him understand math concepts and we were both getting frustrated. We unsuccessfully tried on demand virtual tutoring so when I discovered Mathnasium was open for in-person learning, I decided to enroll him. I'm happy that he is getting the one on one individualized tutoring that he needs. The instructors have helped him build foundational tools and my child is no longer resistant to doing his math homework. While math is still not his favorite subject, he is now getting Bs and feeling more confident. I am extremely grateful for Mathnasium and its terrific staff.

The math tutors are really nice! If I have a hard time with something, I can get a lot more help at Mathnasium than I get at school. It’s also a place where I can do my homework and get help where I’m having trouble. It has been nice to get to know the people there. - Asa 12 years old

Very patient with kids and best choice in enrolling my son here. Big improvement on my son’s grade and confidence.

Only a few weeks in but noticing improvement already. Only thing I wish is one or 2 days a week we could start at 3 or 3:15, better for spring sports that are starting now.

Our son’s math test scores tanked after the COVID shutdown and remote learning. We attempted to supplement his learning at home by doing additional lessons at home and worksheets. However, he was struggling and feeling discouraged. At the end we were all frustrated.

Luckily we found Mathnasium in Pleasant Hill and it has been such a rewarding experience. His test scores significantly improved and show him at the top percentile of his class and above national average. He now expresses a confident attitude with math and is learning above his grade. Would definitely recommend this service for anyone with a child struggling in math.

He and his staff are very encouraging and make the learning fun for the kids.
