et friendly family attitude of ll staff
I like that I can play pickelball 5 days a week.
Fees are high, specially at current conditions, recently increased without notice!.
I belong to the Y primarily to use the pool. Not as interested in activities
Everything
It is flexible for me because I go away for winter so I can put my membership on hold. Also, the building is very clean. Great job
Stafff and facility
Good variety of activities for all ages. Great staff.
Instructors well trained
Variety of instruction
I mostly attend the morning classes with Linda. The whole class gets a fantastic workout without getting injured. She seems to have a sixth sense about the abilities of her group. We are nearly 100% seniors yet everyone experiences a great workout without being pushed beyond our limitations. If the Y ever loses Linda, it’s going to find itself in quite a fix! Val, Cathy and Lori also do great classes BUT who would be willing to do as many classes as Linda???
My membership at the moment hinges on Linda. It’s a bit concerning that when instructors retire or move away, the Y doesn’t hire new people to take over their classes. Instead, the present instructors are expected to double up on their class load. No one should be expected to do multiple classes a day. That results in burnout and injury. The latest loss I know about is Ann. Ann and Cathy usually filled in for Linda when she was away. So does it all fall on Cathy now? If Cathy is also unavailability, then what? You desperately need to hire and train new people. Especially people in seniors fitness.
Enjoy using the fitness facility.
The classes I attend keep me motivated and in good health.
the variety that it offers
I just rejoined... hoping that classes will be what they used to be
Easy access and well kept up
They are alright ,I don't use alot of the programs
Wonderful atmosphere with amazing facilities and friendly and helpful staff.
I love the pool and the aqua fit classes! Staff are great too!
they work for me
JMFC, what an outstanding branch. From the staff to the programming, the fitness center and pool. Everything is more than one could ask for. It is so hard to narrow down my favorite thing about this branch. Keep up the great work everyone!! :)
I like the variety of programs and the drop in factor. I like the friendly eager staff. I hope that a gymnastics program will soon be available for children. It would be nice to have a drop in volleyball for adults. I wish that the bouncy castle was still available at this location since it is still available at another nearby Y location. It is great that the Y accommodates all socioeconomic levels and that there are activities for all ages.
Diversity and good equipment.
I enjoy the pool.
Pickleball has been fantastic, maybe we should look into putting 6 new courts outside?
Swim lessons, child minding
Very clean especially plus room. Love the classes. Lots of help. Very friendly.
It's only my second week but so far I love the aqua fit program. I love the variety and environment of the equipment room - light and airy and doesn't feel claustrophobic. Looking forward to starting pickleball in the near future. Facilities are great - clean, spacious with good amenities such as hair dryers, private showers etc. . I really love that you have a whirlpool, sauna and steamroom conveniently located in the shower and dressing area.
New to Sarnia and the YMCA team. The Sarnia team was friendly and welcoming!

It’s very family oriented
