My pedicure was fantastic. I wasn’t crazy about the massage though. I booked and paid for a deep tissue massage but did not receive deep tissue work. The session consisted almost entirely of repetitive effleurage strokes using the heel of the hand from start to finish, with no variation in technique. There was no use of thumbs, knuckles, forearms, elbows, compression, or focused pressure into specific muscle groups.
Deep tissue work typically involves slow, targeted pressure applied directly into areas of tension with intentional muscle-specific focus. That level of depth and specificity was not present during my session. The therapist was very sweet, but the service did not align with the deep tissue description or additional charge.

Rae was amazing. She listened to my concerns about my hair being affected by medical treatment. She understood my hair texture and what cut would bring out my natural "Irish" curls and even choose shampoo that would not include an ingredient I've had bad reactions to. She was friendly and kind and very helpful. I left salon feeling very happy w my hair and that hasn't happened for me for a while.

Natural Alternatives is a favorite place to go for my hair care. It feels homey and inviting. I enjoy the hot tea and come in early just for that. My stylist seems like a friend more than a provider of a service. I always plan my next service before I leave because I never want to go anywhere else.
I tried a new hair color treatment and the results were great. Janay was wonderful and walked me through the whole process. We discussed everything in depth before the treatment.
