I like the apps because they are fun and the kids are learning without even knowing it. I like the structure of teaching. Many school curriculums run through materials and miss the important small steps. Sylvan breaks down all steps making children really understand what's being asked.

Excellent tutors; needs of the student are properly ascertained and the teaching is geared to exactly what the student needs. Well run and on time schedules. Great communication between the parent and director on the progress of the student. Flexibility to change direction when the student needs a change to keep them engaged. Typical school run 'special education' does not work for my son. Sylvan's gave far better, faster results!

Each assessment outlines the learner's strengths and weaknesses and then the program is produced to target those individual needs. Highly specialized tutors are matched to the teaching requirements of the learner and small group settings insure that the learner is given individualized attention. Encouragement and praise help keep the learner motivated. My son has advanced far more rapidly once under Sylvan's care than at any other tutoring service or while at school. My son is now in grade 9 and I say, without any reservations, Sylvan's was the best decision I ever made to help my son with reading, math and writing!
Our family has a very busy active schedule in terms of sports. Daniel A. has been very flexible in working around our timetable to fit sylvan and sports. Both children enjoy working Daniel with math and language and the centre is always there for them for homework and exams.
