Great swimming lessons!
My son Liam is enjoying the swimming lessons. Right now he is in stage 2
Collin was the best! Henry loved going every day and became so much braver with Collin encouraging him.
The exercise classes are very good and the clean and well equipped facilities are truly in iting.
I like the gym.
Just referring to swim lessons:
I would like the instructor to strive to get each swimmer to improve each task instead of just having each swimmer attempt it and then move on. A lesson is showing, teaching, and striving to achieve...not just attempting. That's why I pay.
I love that the swimming lessons have only 4-5 kids so that each child is getting the attention they need.
I love the group fitness classes. The facility is clean and the employees are friendly and helpful.
I love the classes I attend. Anne and Diana make exercising fun. I feel so much better since I started last October.
Availability in town. Cardio area is clean and generally well-equipped.
its has been a very fun time for my kiddos and we will return too softball again next year
I loved how they tailored Dillon's swim lessons to his abilities.
I love the adult swim weekdays at noon at the outdoor pool . I for one would love to also have adult lap swim in the morning sometime or even at another time of day if possible.
I loved being at the Mills County YMCA. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The staff is amazing, and so are the members. The Y is always so clean as well. Love it
Comfortable, safe place for me. People are friendly, instructors are helpful.
Clean environment. A variety of classes are offered, well-maintained workout equipment.
Love the clean facility. Youth sports are great as well. Though in volleyball season, you really should move the basketball hoops out of the way!
They provide a class that I like to go to.
At my age the Y is a great place to help me keep in shape.
I like the classes
Variety of weight machines and the pool.
Signs need to be put up in the workout room reminding members to clean off the equipment after they use it. There is nothing worse than going to use a piece of equipment and finding a big wet sweat stain where the last person was. And it's coming upon flu season.
The counselor for my child’s day camp, Jake Last name removed, has been FABULOUS. I have so much praise for this young man and all he does for the program.
I enjoyed making a reservation for a lap lane, and I'm sorry that this change in practice is no longer available. Overall, the facility is very clean and up-to-date.
The staff is super helpful. Good variety
of equipment to use. Also wide variety
Of classes and activities available.
Pool usually has a lane open. Clean and new building!
Enjoy the water aerobis
There's something for all ages and abilities and the people are so welcoming and helpful!
Organized, good sportsmanship, inexpensive
My wife and I moved to Glenwood from out of state when we retired 18 months ago. I found the Glenwood YMCA to be a highlight of moving to Glenwood. I have been in gyms my whole life. The Glenwood YMCA is the cleanest, best maintained facility I have ever been a member of and the staff is the friendliest and most professional. Moving to a new place can be unsettling in many ways, but my wife and I consider feeling instantly "at home" at the Glenwood YMCA something that eased our transition to living in Iowa.

I like how engaged the kids are, there are always planned activities, always on the go in the afternoon. Lots of structure, which I think is good. My 1st grader is definitely having more fun at the Y than he did hanging out at home last summer. And he's tired when he comes home at night!!
