I joined in order to participate in the aqua workout classes.
I really enjoy them, but wish there were class times in the afternoon that are a bit more rigorous.
I love Body Pump classes with Katie and Brianna. I have been participating in these classes at the Sarpy Y for at least 15 years. In addition to improving my health (having lost between 30-40 pounds), I’ve developed some wonderful friendships. These classes also have allowed me to continue to be active as I age. (I will be 68 later this month!) Go Y!
I don't participate in any programs or activities, but I like the freedom of the gym equipment for my work ours.
I like the water aerobic classes and go 5 days a week. This is a wonderful way for older adults to exercise. The instructors do a great job and focus on what we need, cardio, strength, balance and flexibility.
It’s great that we are offered two morning classes every day, it’s a good way to start my day!
I have found the staff and instructors to be very friendly.

Love working out here day to day. Staff is great and plenty of equipment.
Would love the addition of a sauna or steam room.

The class that works for my schedule is Body Combat with Katie and Brianna. They are both wonderful teachers and I always can count on a great workout from either of them. They never disappoint!
I like the remodeled cardio area as well, and the lobby area that often has fresh flower centerpieces on tables.
Staff always greet me and tell me to have a nice day when I leave :).
The variety

We absolutely love the aqua classes.Also, we have discovered the EGym of late and are finding new strength because of the machines.
We do wish there were some additional aqu classes in the afternoon and weekends.
I started at the Y when I was 80 doing th silver sneakers exercise classes, I am 90 now and still going to the Y 3 days a week for S.S class. My health is good, my body flexible, I contribute a lot of that to going to the Y for the last 10 years.

The Older Activity and Silver Sneakers instructors at the Sarpy County YMCA, led by Allison, Karin, Tammy, Maria, and Moreen, bring a wealth of experience and a genuine passion to their classes. They instill a belief in our abilities, inspire us to push ourselves and encourage us to embrace our physical potential at any age.

I think the Y has some really great exercise programs. I also think the personnel working at the Y really foster a welcoming environment. Every one is so friendly. Its a great way to start any day.
The swimming
I like your water exercise classes. Daniel, by far, is the most knowledgeable instructor you have. I would love to see more classes offered by Daniel.
Also, I have suggested many times, that there should be more offerings after work for water exercise classes. While the old ladies with their free Silver Sneakers plans are your cash cow, they are not the only ones interested in these classes.
There are a considerable number of working families from the Sarpy YMCA, who would love to take these classes. PLEASE consider adding classes in the 4-6 p.m. time slot.
I know you have 7 p.m. deep water classes but 1. It's deep water and only avid swimmers are comfortable in deep water and 2. By 7 p.m. families with children are at home and cannot readily partake in classes as they could " on their way home" from work.

Senior group exercise classes. Pool. Remodeled facility.
The staff there is awesome especially the day care people. My kids love going there. Would be cool if they expanded and added a sauna and put heavier dumbbells by the where the yoga mats are. So awkward carrying a 60lb db all the way down there and then all the way back up lol
They have at least one water activity a day. Most of the people are friendly.
Kind and informative staff. Child watch is very helpful.

I love the classes on offer for exercise. I have really enjoyed the Bodypump class to push me that bit further. The wellness center has great equipment, too. And, of course, childcare so I can exercise! My kids love the pool. There is truly something for everyone and the environment is welcoming and encouraging.
