Great classes, with great teachers and great participants!
senior activities
Love Heather's class.
We just exercise independently at our own convenience.
There are many activities from which to choose. Leaders are well trained.
Great place to build your strength, exercise your body and socialize with new friends.
There are so many times available for swim lessons which makes finding a time that works for our family super helpful!
I like the facilities & trainer j use.
Kids programs
We like the welcoming feeling of the staff and the options and availability of equipment for working out.
Instructor are awesome
The facility is well kept and maintained. Employees are friendly and very helpful. My trainer, Rob, is fantastic. At 76 years of age and really haven't visited a gym in 30 years, I am delighted with my experience.
Although my preference is to work out or swim individually, I see value in organized activities for youth, adults and seniors. The Armbrust Y does a great job promoting these activates as they appear to be well attended. I would like to express a slight concern regarding a small percentage of people that are occupying a machine or station spending an inordinate amount of time checking social media, texting or even having a conversation lasting 3, 4 or 5 minutes while others may be waiting to use that station. Maybe some polite signage asking people to limit social media time and suggest the tables and chairs inside the front door would be a better place for that activity.
I really enjoy the MMX class and Stephen our instructor makes modifications as needed for me.
Very family & community oriented. Staff is always kind & dependable.
Very simple program for kids who are either just starting to play basketball or don't take it ,too seriously.
Love that the coaches care about the kids, but mostly I LOVE when the refs blow the whistle, stop the game and take a few seconds to teach the kids the right way to play (double dribbling, not dribbling, reaching around arms, etc.) as many kids are learning the game and don't know what happened. This is the best, and I notice it more with the older refs (not the younger teens, 20-somethings). They should all be coached on when/how to do the same.
Small group size. The Instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable.
I have put my kids in other local YMCA’s and this one is by far the best! Instructors actually teach the kids instead of just playing with them in the water.
sports
My kids like to be able to play on teams with their friends and they enjoy the FUN of sports without the high level of competition and pressure. They like to be able to get good playing time in games. I like that it’s affordable and a very manageable time commitment of practice once per week.
I like the music w Aqua Zumba and Silver Sneakwrs classes
I enjoy all the exercise classes they offer, especially for the senior community. The instructors are knowledgeable and are good at making exercise a fun experience.
They have plenty of treadmills and other exercise machines to chose from.
Love all the group classes I take each week.

there is a wide variety of classes for all levels of physical ability
