The company offers tracking and filling our tank as needed, monthly payment plan, and service contract. All are services I very much appreciate, especially the yearly cleaning/tune-up and technician responding to "no heat" issues day or night.

Satisfied with service. However, it would be very helpful if Downeast had the option to set up an autopay mechanism (either via ACH from a deposit account or via debit/credit card) to have the amount due automatically paid from an account. We do get the email notices when a billing is available, but if that email gets buried in a mailbox it's easy to have it slip past, especially since the billing intervals are irregular and based on delivery, not on a scheduled monthly or quarterly basis. I think it would benefit Downeast as well, reducing the frequency of late or missed payments.
If not that detailed, if the payment function online would at least carry over the amount currently due that would be helpful as well.
Another helpful item would be the ability to export/download payment history as Excel or *.csv for use with spreadsheets or budget software. As it is, we can screen scrape and port into a tool but it requires a fair bit of manipulation to clean it up.
Always been prompt and thorough with servicing and delivery. Staff has been professional and courteous. My one complaint: no one told me about contract pricing of propane. I’d been paying $4+ per gal and was told about this option only after I called to express my disbelief at the differential between Downeast and statewide pricing.
