I’ve been very happy with the service from Downeast. They provide propane to me for three different tanks. They have accommodated many requests and are pleasant to deal with.
We have been a Downeast customer for decades and have always been pleased with the reliable service provided. On a couple of occasions our boiler system needed unexpected service during the coldest months of the year. Downeast responded immediately and quickly solved our problems. We know we can trust Downeast to keep us warm.
Quick and easy
My father worked for Brunswick Coal and Lumber for 26 years! So when I moved back to Maine, I kept them and of course, they became Downeast! They've always been here no matter the day when we had no heat! I'm sorry that you have a help shortage and that I have to wait a week for service on my Rinnai! I do have a Vangard in the kitchen and an Empire in the living room that helps to keep it warm in my house, although not as efficient and doesn't keep it as warm as the Rinnai!!!
Techs and drivers courteous and helpful - even when its bad news (part needed).
I asked if it was possible to get a lower price per gallon for propane since prices have gone down in this area since I signed the contract in April, and particularly as I am retired, on a fixed income and not looking forward to the winter bills. It is going to be tight. And close. I really did not expect anything but whoever is in charge of this in Brunswick gave me a new contract with a price reduced by 50 cents per gallon. She is on my Christmas list forever:) This really, really helps. Still going to be a rough winter but this helps. Unfortunately, at the same time, my system went down, needed a part and cost about $468 probably negating the savings. Tough times.
So....I was seriously considering finding a new supplier in the spring and paying the cost to switch tanks. I am no longer considering that. Thank you Brunswick!
My only complaint centers on the phones - impossible to get through to you guys during the day.
