Mathnasium is a great place for learning math. They are very professional and the tutors are there to help. They don’t give homework which is great less stress on the kids.

I think the most important part of being tutored is that your child can tell you at the end of each session what they've learned. Understanding math terms is part of truly mastering a standard. As a teacher myself, I see how much this can affect a child's ability to properly solve a problem. If they're asked to reduce fractions but can't remember what that means, then you have a problem. My son is able to do this after each session when questioned about what he learned for the day. Children need to understand what they're learning, not just how to solve a series of problems presented to them on a given day. Mathnasium does a great job sticking with a standard over a period of time to ensure that not only they know what they're learning, but that they master how to solve the problems that fall under that particular standard before moving forward.

We have been so blessed to have Mathnasium in our life for our fourth grade daughter.
