I think the YMCA has many benefits. I would recommend that members be able to register their car and have an area of reserved parking for members only. There have been an increasing number of days where members have had extreme difficulty finding parking. It is usually during swim meets, other spectator sports, Halloween trunk and treat, etc where non-members often take up almost all of the parking.

Joan at the front desk was very helpful, friendly and welcoming in my initial inquiry over the phone and in person later that day when I came to try out the facilities. She answered all my questions and gave me additional information that was very helpful. Further, though I fully expected to pay for a day pass in order to try out the facilities, she gave me an unsolicited complimentary, one-time “trial pass”. I thought that policy was very classy. Of course the facilities were top notch, the men’s locker room was pleasant and very clean. So on my way out, I took out a membership (deciding over another Y facility here in the area). Can’t stress enough the importance of a great initial contact in these decisions, and Joan’s friendly and professional demeanor, along with the other factors mentioned, made it an easy decision to join.
Absolutely love the Greater Beverly YMCA childcare program!! Every teacher we've had have been amazing! I'm going to be so sad at the end of June when my son leaves to start Camp Chipmunk and then off to kindergarten. I highly recommend.
Wonderful instructors in an encouraging environment that allows their gymnasts the bravery to challenge themselves, work hard and have fun.

Penelope, although still new to gymnastics and starting to more easily join in right at the beginning of her sessions, loves the routines! Having her first real birthday party there was truly special. My only constructive criticism would be around the entrance space. The bottleneck of families coming and going through the double doors, with the entry to gymnastics floor being right inside those doors, presents challenges. Maybe there’s a solution but likely would require some reconfiguration.
My daughter really enjoys her weekly gymnastics class, it is one of the highlights of her week.
The ymca staff at Ayers is amazing. They take great care of my son and he is happy there.
Basketball coaches are great. My son loves practices and games!
Great place for lots of reasons
Variety of things to do
Matt does a great job connecting with and coaching the kids. My son has anxiety and sometimes gets overwhelmed at practice. Matt is mindful and attentive when this happens all while still keeping up with coaching a bunch of kids.
The half-court setup in the Sterling building is less than ideal this season, and it would be great if there were a second coach to help run drills the way Matt and Laura used to.
Plenty of gym equipment and more importantly, the space to use it without feeling crowded
So many options for classes every day of the week. Clean studios, kind instructors. :)
