Such a great value! I loved being able to use multiple facilities in the North Shore area, and that each facility had different things to offer. The splash pad (Cape Ann) and the outdoor pool (Greater Beverly) were a big hit with my kids. I also found the equipment to be clean, new, in great condition, and well-organized. The workout areas were never too crowded and I found some fun new classes to take. If I lived in the area year-round, I would have loved to keep my membership, and I wish the YMCA where I live was half as nice!

Nice clean affordable facility with friendly staff...However for the love of pete PLEASE PLEASE MAKE THE FAMILY LOCCKER ROOM WARMER!!!!
I swear my kids get sick after every swim lesson b/c they go from a cold pool to a freezing locker room. And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way all the parents grumble about while we're watching lessons. We left for the winter to do the goldfish lessons b/c of it, and so have others. It's one small room you should be able to heat it without blowing the budget.
The kids love all the various activities and the personalities amongst the counselors.

James had a great time with Camp Star at the Y Camp this summer! He loved the themes, the games, but the most talked about activity was SWIMMING!
This program it Keeps the kids open mind and it will help them for next year.

The gymnastics camp at the Beverly YMCA is the BEST camp on the North Shore! Katie Cohen & the staff do an amazing job engaging with and instructing the campers!
It's one of the only camps that offers inclusive activities along with the supports for kids who need a little bit extra help. All of the staff are so kind, organized and helpful with great communication skills.

Cannot say enough how well the Gymnastics Camp at the Beverly YMCA is run. From the organization of the activities to the instruction, Katie Cohen and her staff made our daughters feel SO welcome, and are outstanding teachers. Our girls love it, and will be back again in August for two more weeks!

Also - I know this is not a camp survey, but a HUGE shoutout to Katie Cohen and whole staff of the gymnastics who do an incredible job. It's our daughter's favorite camp, and they can't wait to get back for another two weeks in August!

Beverly is my favorite Y though I live close to the Y in Gloucester. There are great yoga teachers & classes. The workout area is spacious with a good number of machines/bikes so that there isn't a long wait time to use something. The only suggestion would be to adjust the AC in the mind/body room so that there is adequate ventilation for the enclosed space. The humid, stale air seems like a breeding ground for germs.

Gymnastics and cheer camps have been popular with my kids. I like the flexibility to drop off earlier and pick up later if needed.
The kids like having lots of different activities. They love their counselors and I really appreciate the staff always recognizing them and me! Everyone is so helpful!
