It's an amazing opportunity for junior golfers! The PGA Jr. League gives juniors a feel for what tournament/match play golf is like before pursuing individual competition - not as much pressure, etc. Kids are less likely to just give up the game because it's too hard - which golf is a challenge to learn. If kids want to try individual tournaments later, they will have a great perspective ahead of time.
I enjoyed the team aspect since golf can be a solitary sport.
PGA Jr. League has been the best opportunity for our son who loves golf. We moved here two years ago and he didn't connect with very many kids. We joined First Tee of Tulsa and he fell in love with golf. He tried out for the PGAJr. team and after he made it, he has made close friendships and learned invaluable coaching from the wonderful Janice Gibson. He wishes PGA Jr. would last until he graduates! We love it!

PGA jr was a great learning experience. My son learned skills from being on teams with the older golfers. The camaraderie was wonderful.

It’s a laidback program with positive coaching. There’s a variety of experience and talent allowing for kids to fit in somewhere in the mix and not feel the pressure to be the best.
It gives the kids a way to learn team golf in a non pressure environment. I do wish however that we received more coaching on how to fix specific swing putting type issues.
I like the less competitive more learning mentality. In the many matches I have witnessed most players and parents cheer for all the kids when they have a great shot. They also boost each other’s spirits when things aren’t going so well.

I love the concept of a team based game to introduce kids to golf and keep it fun and entertaining. He leagues has been great for my kid and getting him started and keeping him in the game. Would highly recommend to any young players.
Great youth program. Does not require a high level of skill or experience to join and participate.
Scramble format is more inviting to beginners vs tournament golf (US Kids). Variety of ages helps older kids learn to be leaders, mentors for the younger kids. Kids like the uniforms.
It was such a fun way for my daughter to make new friends who love the same game! It is so refreshing to see her playing the sport she loves with other girls her age! Thank you!!
